For the 2021 Glee Summer Bang: Thunderstorms prompt.
1.5k kidfic (Noah)
The night Noah stole his Uncle Samuel’s watch, he knew he was going to get punished. Not by his uncle, because Uncle Samuel had never even yelled at them, not once in five years, and probably not his Ma either, who made a point of blaming them and then forgiving them later, when she wasn’t so mad. The punishment would come from his dad. He needed to get away.
Except it was storming outside. Thunderstorms were Noah’s least favorite thing, worse than asparagus or getting his nails clipped. When he felt a storm coming, usually the day before, he got a headache, and his stomach told him he might throw up any time, even though he never did. If he tried to hide the watch in the house, his dad would find it.
There was only one place where Noah could both hide the watch where his dad would never find it and stay out of the storm, and that was his Nana Connie’s house. He knew how to get to where she lived. He just had to walk two streets down and then turn and go up one more street. He could go and hide it and then knock on Nana Connie’s door, and she probably wouldn’t make him go home until the storm was over. She might even give him a cupcake if he asked nicely.
