This is very excellent! People almost always get Karma and Gakushuu wrong (unfortunately) since I think they blend behavioral patterns and internal processing differently...? I especially like the part "he's very good at it but that doesn't mean he wants to" since I always figure he's kind of locked into his role because of being Chairman's son
yes, that’s a good way to put it! i think gakushuu wants peers, teachers, etc. to see him as an estj sort of person, his father as an entj (lbr that’s probably gakuhou himself i mean the entj is literally called ‘the commander’ but that would require me a lot more thinking and analysis), and deep down, he’s really an intj. alas, personality tests do not account for the “i am really good at pretending to be extroverted because it is most advantageous to my image but actually i am introverted” factor.
the way gakushuu behaves is very different from how he actually is, and same goes for karma. oh god karma is a mess, but he’s got that lone wolf persona going on (although it’s less there over time b/c character development) that at least makes it more apparent he’s an introvert, but i imagine people mistake him for an extrovert because— fuck, i don’t know. karma’s very confident at approaching people, which seems like an extrovert thing, but he’s only good at his very specific approach that is not socially acceptable and doesn’t usually make him friends. (over)confidence and proactiveness doesn’t make an extrovert.
