Cuddling headcanons for Dutch, Hosea and Arthur!!Ā ā¤ļø
Be prepared to get pulled into his lap constantly if heās sitting down.
Likes having you sat across his lap so he can rest his hand on your thigh whilst you lean your head against his shoulder.
Also likes you full on straddling him but that can very quickly turn into more than just cuddling š
When heās relaxing on his cot reading, you often find yourself lying with your head in his lap whilst his eyes roam over the worn pages of his book and his fingers absently run through your hair. Often this is how you fall asleep at night.
Dutch is very grabby. If youāre cuddling with him in bed or sitting on his lap, fully expect to have his hands running over you, his fingers brushing through your hair, drawing patterns on your skin, etc. (This goes for his lips, too. Kisses. Everywhere.)
Despite having to uphold his reputation as being the ābig intimidating gang leaderā, Dutch is a very affectionate person and it shows when heās alone with you. Sometimes heāll be very talkative and flirty when youāre alone together, but other times heāll just pull you into his arms in bed and hold you to him because he simply enjoys having you so close.
Hosea isnāt an extremely cuddly person by nature, but thatās not to say he doesnāt enjoy it.
He will never deny you it if you ask him (unless heās in a particularly teasing mood, as he likes to see your pouty face and the way you go āpleeeeeeeasseeee?ā)
Loves having you curled up beside him in bed and will read to you. His voice is the most soothing thing in the world. Will also tell you stories of when he was younger and the kind of mischief he got into.
This man still cannot believe you have any kind of affection for him (āWhat are you doing with an old man like me, eh?ā), nevermind wanting to cuddle with him. Because of this you constantly make sure he knows how much you care.
Eventually you rub off on him and after heās been away from camp heāll make sure to give you the biggest hug when he gets back, kissing your temple and telling you how much he missed you.
He tries to insist heās āfar too bonyā which is a complete lie because you essentially use him as a pillow most of the time and he secretly (or perhaps not so secretly) loves it.
Loves holding your hand, especially when youāre cuddled up beside him. Is also an old-fashioned romantic so you bet heāll be kissing the back of your hand.
This man radiates warmth. So if youāre cold, you bet heāll pull you into his arms no matter where you are and wrap his jacket around you and wonāt let you go until youāre warm.
Literally the softest. You donāt even need a bed you can just use Arthur. (Heād be quite happy with that, too.)
NEVER wants to get out of bed in the morning. Will wrap his arms around your waist and pull you to him if you even think about getting up.
āMmphā¦.five more minutes darlināā¦ā heāll mumble into the back of your neck. It works on you every time which is why youāre usually the last two up in the morning.
Will kiss your shoulders/neck if youāre spooning.
You know when heās had a tough day because heās usually quiet when he comes back to camp, and once heās got you alone will just pull you into a tight hug and stay like that for a little while.
Bonus points if you brush your fingers through his hair ā he loves it.
