A Demigod Birthday ¦¦Drabble
The Saturday morning of January 26 was cold and quiet at Camp HalfBlood. Except for in one cabin. The girls in cabin Twenty were all wide awake, except for the newly claimed daughter. Her honeyblonde waved hung over her shoulder, as she lay on the pillow, sound asleep. Cabin Counselor Lou Ellen, the sleeping girl’s best friend, smiled at said girl, then at the twins beside her. “Time to wake her up.” With that said, Lou Ellen bounced onto Glimmers bed, waking her up. Glimmer woke up screaming, hitting around at the girl. “Lou! That’s not funny! You scared the shit out of me!” Lou Ellen just smiled. “Guess what day it is, Glimmie?” “Saturday. And its early to, so I want to sleep.” “No-ho!” Lou said, waking her half sister playfully. “The date!” “The 26th!” Hannah and Hilda yelled in sync. Then the entire cabin woke Glimmer up to a chorus of “Happy Birthday to You.” Glimmer smiled at her siblings, grinning. “And we got-” Hilda began, beaming at her half sister. “-you a present, Glimmie!” Hannah smiled, finishing her twin’s sentance. “You did? Guys, that’s so sweet!” “One doesnt simply turn 19 unnoticed, my dear sister.” Lou smiled, grabbing Glimmers hand and pulling her out of bed. Brandon and Ryan pulled out a little mirror. “This mirror,” Ryan said, looking at his half sister with a grin. “Is a magic mirror. You need to look in it, and think about whoever you wanna see.” “And then they’ll appear in the mirror. You’ll see exactly how they’re doing, what’s happening, etcetera.Try it.” Brandon added. Glimmer stared at her siblings as she was handed the mirror. It looked like a normal make up mirror, but she knew it wasn’t. The honeyblonde looked around, and the entire cabin nodded. Glimmer stared in the mirror, thinking about Bethany, before the mirrors image started to swirl. And then she was looking into her daughters room, back in district one. She knew Sparkle was in the house, he took care of Beth when Glim was in Camp HalfBlood, and she smiled. “Look, Lou… It’s Beth.” Glimmer said, her voice soft. "That's adorable, Glimmie.." Lou said quietly, looking over her shoulder. The rest of the day was filled with eating cakes, and in Glims case eggsalad sandwiches, and talking about random boys whilst Glimmer showed her syblings her friends and family. All in all.. Her birthday couldn't have been better.
