You thought it was Jack when he walked into your apartment. The same tired smile. The same green hoodie. But when he turned to face you... his eyes flickered.
Glitched.
"Noticed me, didn't you?" he asked, voice slicing through the air like a wire under tension. You stepped back. Your TV blinked on by itself. The lights dimmed. He grinned. It was too wide. Too sharp.
"He can't come to the door right now," Anti purred. "But I could... if you ask nicely."
Your breath hitched. You hated yourself for it.
He leaned closer, his form stuttering, flickering between pixels and something too real to be safe.
