An interpretation of my favorite glitchmon, ♀ . (aka: Female Symbol)!

I wanted to give her a cool design like I've seen some folks do with MissingNo.. I took inspiration from her reputation of singing an endless song when engaged in battle, interpreting her as a living piece of music! According to her pokedex entry, she's over 80 feet tall, so naturally I had to incorporate that as well. I tried to place the music notes approximately where her pixels lie in her actual sprite, and I tried to mimic the shapes of each as best I could. Her scale actually has six lines, to mimic the six-pixel width of her red markings! I also drew her scale with the line tool, to give her a more rigid edge that suits the rectangular look of most glitchmons.
When I drew this, I wanted to avoid making her scary. Impressive, supernatural, maybe a bit intimidating, but not scary. She offers a peaceful end, in a way: she sings forever, a song so beautiful that all combat, all movement, everything stops. A song so beautiful that the trainer here has fallen to her knees in awe, gazing upon her.
It's a common thing to draw glitchmons in a scary way, and that's certainly understandable! They are pretty dang eldritch, warping reality just by existing (and sometimes freezing it, like ♀ . here). Heck, I'll probably draw her pretty creepy myself at some point! But I also want to acknowledge the beauty in glitchmons. After all, they're still pokemon at the end of the day: they are as capable of love and being loved as any other gen 1 pokemon, either in-universe as pokemon and trainer, or through the bonds we form with our digital friends. I see harmful glitchmons more like legendaries than forces of evil. Lugia can flap its wings and flood the world, Yveltal can bring death, Darkrai calls forth nightmares, and ♀ . can freeze the world. Dangerous? Definitely. But not evil.
This whole thing kinda got away from me, and I can wax poetic about glitchmons for plenty more words. I probably will, assuming I draw more in the future. That trainer kinda became a character of her own at some point, so you may end up seeing more of these two! Until then, I take my leave.
