Update:

Good news: My laptop is back from repairs.

Bad news: They had to replace the motherboard so all my recent files are gone.

Fortunately, I backed everything from before then up a few months ago, so it's mostly a matter of trying to replace the things I lost. Some will have to be remade from scratch. Most will have to be remade from scratch if I'm being honest.

My sister and my mom have both recommended that I back up my stuff once per week, at least, and I think I'll do that from now on.
