Here's the rest. Not shaken, individual, and lit up

So! Who wants to make some???

Good, cuz they're easy.

First off, these are properly called "sensory bottles" and are used a means to help sooth those with anxiety or on the autism spectrum (special education teacher with autism myself, hi). They are incredibly easy to make, so even younger children can make them, with adult supervision.

Materials Required:

Clear glue (I used elmers)

Clear plastic bottle (dollar store or amazon)

GLITTER

Water

Super glue (have adult assist with this if you're young pls)

Optional Materials:

Food coloring

Beads (give extra clunk clunk)

Shaped glitter (like the stars I have in these)

Steps:

Fill the bottle with some glue then water (more glue = slower settle, less glue = fast settle. My bottles above are fast settles. I prefer slow settle, glitter drifts for longer)

Add glitter (as much or as little) and optional stuff

Put super glue in lid and seal that sucker (note, if you want to see the bottle BEFORE you seal it, you may need to wipe the lid and rim off so the super glue can adhere)

Let the super glue dry for at LEAST 15 minutes then shake it up and watch the glitter!

GUYS I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF. There’s this etsy shop that makes really good sensory bottles in these little light bulb bottles? They look so cute:

ANYHOW I love thier combinations but I reallyyyyy want a green one and I decided to be Brave and ask the owner if they do custom orders and ANYHOW they DO.

Plus, the owner is amazing??? We've been chatting about teaching and kids and autism and they are just a super nice person. And they are letting me construct my own light bulb bottle and *squeals* I am excited.

I also bought slime from them that I love. They have Keychain glitter bottles too and worry pets.

Anyhow. Point being: I asked a stranger for something I wanted (look at me go) and also go support them because they are amazing.

Glitter Lightbulbs

Y’all have heard of sensory/glitter bottles right? How about GLITTER LIGHTBULBS.

These things are SO COOL. I love the shape of them -- they are such an unexpected shape that really stand out and make a statement and *happy flap*. I’m love.

I bought one. From dcsensoryshop. And then was like MUST BUY FIVE MORE. Then I messaged the owner and asked if they did custom orders, because they didn’t have a green one. Thus began a really awesome conversation. The owner’s son has a sensory processing disorder, and she started the shop as a way to help him. She was super supportive of me as an undiagnosed autistic adult, and as a teacher. She was also so helpful with designing my green glitter bulb. 

AND THEN I GOT THE PACKAGE and she added a worry pet, a keychain glitter stick, 2 oz of really cool slime, and an extra glitter bulb. Like. Whot. I messaged her and she’s like “well, you wanted to use your glitter bulbs to help your students” and I was just O.O

I’ve made a couple galaxy themed ones lately and wanted one for myself! ^_^ so this is generally what they look like the necklace part is soft and kinda silky so no chains to bother potentially sensitive skin. However, I can attach it to a keychain as well if you would like that instead. You should be able to see the colors I have if you search #glitter bottles
