You guys are sweeties. Thank you very much.
That means he's feeling a lot better. He'll be stuck in the hospital for a while but I'd rather him there where he can be looked after.
Thanks again <3 <3 <3
As long as the rosebush stayed in Kali's garden, Taran knew it was safe. He'd checked out the entirely of the barrier himself--nothing could get in or out without someone's say-so. But old habits were hard to break, even for young pixies, and he was used to taking watch while his parents and siblings slept. Zai had already gone to sleep, and Taran would soon be joining her--in a moment, after he was sure there was nothing around. He stood on a twisting upper branch of the rosebush, watching intently for intruders.
"You's scareds!" The sprite visibliy puffs up at that, hopping to it's feet and flying up. "Floofy-haired lugs!" It sticks its tongue out at him, and darts up a good foot, wings letting off a tiny cloud of itching fairy dust to fall behind. "Gets loooooost~ you big ugly bugs!"
"Scared of what, you?" He misses the dust easily, but doesn't stray far from his post, even as he tracks the sprite like a hawk. "I'm not going anywhere. Final warning. Leave."
A tiny head pokes up over the leaf, pointy ears pricked up and big eyes squinting down angrily. The glow increases, and it hisses down, little sharp teeth a-glinting.
The pixie buck's eyes narrow and he grips the sword tighter as he rises a foot or so toward the leaf cover. "What, you scared?"
