Now New Years was a holiday Scrooge could get behind. One year over and a new one beginning. New goals, new treasures to be found, and dangers to be uncovered. But in the center of the loud fireworks and joy poppers, it was nice to have Goldie next to him. 

Happy to always accept and return a kiss, Scrooge placed both hands behind Goldie’s back and pulled her in. Hopefully, the first kiss of many to come within the year.

They do not wish him a happy birthday, they know better. However, the pink daughter and golden wife both give a little extra attention throughout the day, including teaming up to provide double hugs and kisses, as though the loving is a liiiiittle premeditated.

He greatly appreciates the speechlessness of it. Not everything needs to be said in flashy letters of a card or in out of tune singing. Especially not on a day he feels a bit down. Scrooge does appreciate the extra affection, though, returning a tight squeeze to Webby or a peck on the cheek to Goldie. It’s all the presents he needs for today.

“Mmh, do ye like it?” He turns around after adjusting his tie, spreading out his arms so she can have a better look at him. “Purple goes better with jewels and silver in my opinion.” Scrooge’s hands gently grace over the bottom of her arms as she reaches up and a darker purr, more of a growl, comes up from his throat.

“Ye know, Ah jus’ got a lovely score from old Flinty.” He states. “Ah could get ye a … matchin’ set if ye wanted.”

She does not require an excuse, but apparently today is conveniently international smooching day, so the wife is going to cup his face and give him plenty of kisses at the door as soon as he arrived home~! -glitteringcldie

Scrooge isn’t exactly well caught up with all the tiny holidays America had thought up; pancake day, donut day, hug day, sibling day. They all seemed to blend together with a response of ‘oh, that’s today?’ whenever you told him the date of one. So even though he doesn’t know it’s a holiday for kissing, Scrooge instantly drops his work case and wraps Goldie up in his arms.

He let her pepper his face with as many kisses as she wanted, carefully lifting her off the ground and moving inside so Duckworth could close the door (AC was expensive after all). “Hullo dear - haha - yes, yes Ah missed ye too.”

“In a minute.” Is all Scrooge says in between his MANY kisses to her neck and beak. They pretty much knew each other’s schedules by heart now, so Scrooge knew how much time Goldie needed before getting to her next class. They had time. And Scrooge liked sneaking off with her to a little corner or off to the side area, that way he could kissed her all he wanted.

“Jus’ a little bit longer, promise.”

"If you think it'll be dangerous, we could always go somewhere else." She managed to keep a straight face, but only long enough to finish speaking. -ya thief gal

He’s nodding, he’s nodding, he’s trying to keep his beak clamped shut and then.

“BAHAHAHAHA!!!” Scrooge leans forward with billowing laughter. Oh, she was funny. Them? Walk away from potential danger? It really was quite laughable. “Bah, what’s th’ - hahaha - what’s th’ point if it’s nae’ totally dangerous? C’mon, lass.”

Some quick canon divergent stuff from the Outlaw episode that @glitteringcldie​ and I talked about, I’ll probably post more when we think of more

Goldie didn’t follow him there to steal from him, she followed for “A little friendly competition.” They did this a lot. Basically whoever loses has to do something like buy dinner next time they go out.

Them holding hands and pushing each other is a lot more flirtatious. Definitely more play fighting

They aren’t dating yet, so consider it as old fashioned courting

Goldie gets John to fight Scrooge so she can sneak around to get the gold. This is something she & Scrooge do often. Scrooge makes a scene so Goldie can easily slip away with whatever they want to get.

'be an annoying diversion' changes into something way more flirty, 'be a beautiful distraction'

Instead of being weirded out when she does the shoulder shimmy, Scrooge gets flustered and almost botches the plan.

They do kiss at the end, Goldie uses it to fluster Scrooge enough so she can get a head start towards the gold.
