(this is @/glitteringstardust from my main) tysm for finding that one gif haha! if you can't find the other one don't worry too much about it, i can just replace it in the board i was making--probably should've made sure i'd be able to find it before i even considered using it. i wish people who don't credit would at least care that they make things harder for people who do consider crediting important.

am i wrong about this, or were DNI banners specifically started by stim bloggers, kidcore/agere bloggers, pastel aesthetic bloggers, etc, who were fed up with having kink blogs with NSFW icons and urls reblog their perfectly innocuous posts and leave inappropriate comments on them? because my stim blog was started in 2016 and i don't remember ever encountering DNI banners prior to then but admittedly my memory kind of sucks lmao. but it's largely because of this that i get annoyed by seeing people hate on them, because it really used to be a HUGE problem on stimblr--and i don't even use banners anymore ever since tumblr made pinned posts a thing and i just started putting my DNI there, but i have no issue with people who do use them.

YEAH they were!! at bare minimum they were at least popularized by them. I agree with you entirely, I get annoyed too
