@valiant_music has been showing off his musical mastery since bursting on the scene in a big way last year. But this week, the dancehall entertainer is demonstrating his good-heartedness with a visit to his alma mater, #Oberlin High School, where he gave a surprise performance, held rap sessions with some of the students and discussed ways he could further his contribution to the school. Justine Hope attributes her academic achievements to having a solid support system, a firm belief and trust in God, and her ability to persevere despite all odds. The 18-year-old is a past student of the St Andrew-based Immaculate Conception High School, where she achieved 10 grade ones in her Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate examinations and another eight in her Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination units One and Two subjects. November has taken on special significance to 22-year-old Shakiel Cephas. In November 2018, he was diagnosed with stage four #Hodgkin's lymphoma, and the following November, he got news that the cancer had gone into remission. When Shamoui Glaves enrolled at the University of Technology, Jamaica in 2008 to read for a Bachelor in Education degree, he had all intention to mould young minds as an educator. However, despite graduating a decade ago with a BEd in Industrial Technology, majoring in construction, he has not set foot in the classroom. Grateful for the education he received, Glaves is now willing to enter the classroom on a part-time basis. If there was a local movie called The Art of Forgiveness, Khadene Guyah would have been the perfect star for it. Turning point of the movie for her would have been on March 17, 2021. That is the day she tragically lost her husband, Kedo Guyah, a former teacher at the Norman Manley High School and assistant pastor. The final six minutes were the most excruciating for Kelly-Ann Tulloch on Wednesday night. For the past two weeks, she had not slept, as images of gunfights and bombs exploding on her son in #Ukraine burned deep in her mind. Finally, her prayers were answered.
