COVID Reaction!
Reaction to COVID19 was quite remarkable. I mean I don't think for the last couple of decades global community has come together for anything that this impactful! There is hunger, poverty, terrorism, geopolitical disputes, global warming, floods, climate change and many more........list of problems is endless. But just when we got one issue that impacts each one of us, irrespective of how rich or poor we are, irrespective of our caste, class, gender this global community has come together and guess what! We all are fighting. I attended a webinar yesterday, and one of the speakers, Kevin Urama, the senior director of the African Development Institute said: "any of those global issues like Poverty, hunger and malnutrition in Africa are pandemic equally". So true we're those words, should we consider all our global issues as pandemics. Why not we have a similar reaction to them? Maybe poverty doesn't impact each one of us equally! Maybe hungry kids in Africa are not a threat to those American parents who are content with their own kids drinking and partying! But this COVID is a threat to all. And if not equally it is a bigger threat to the superpower. So maybe that's why we have this big reaction!
