Malaysia Airlines among top 10 topics discussed on FB
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10, 2014:
Malaysia Airlines was the seventh most talked about global topic on Facebook for this year, with the World Cup and the Ebola virus outbreak taking the top two spots.
“Every day, people discuss the topics and stories that are important to them on Facebook.
“Today we’re taking a look back at the moments, places and people that moved us in 2014,” said a posting on Facebook’s newsroom page.
There were numerous overlaps between the top 10 global topics and those in the United States.
While the passing of ever-popular comedian, Robin Williams came in at number four globally, his death was the third most talked about topic in the US.
Two double tragedies that struck Malaysia Airlines this year involving flights MH370 and MH17 were the ninth most talked about topic in the US.
The top global topics on Facebook in 2014 were:
