Sheryl Crow has demonstrated her keen abilities as a musician, producer, and interpreter on music on this cover song. When I first heard about Sheryl covering this Guns n’ Roses classic, I’ll admit I was skeptical. The GNR song is one of my all-time favorite rock-songs. But Crow’s interpretation not only shines, it makes me forget all about Mr. Rose completely. Her work only gets better & better. If you don’t get a chance to purchase Sheryl’s version of “The Globe Sessions” that includes this song, definitely purchase the single – it’s well worth the money.

I been a fan of Sheryl Crow since her debut back in 1993. When I saw this collection I bought it even though I already own The Very Best of Sheryl Crow. I like this collection more since it includes “Anything But Down” and “Cant Cry Anymore” which wasn’t on her first greatest hits. Although you do miss out on songs like “The Difficult Kind”, “I Shall Believe”, the other new track “Light In Your Eyes”, and her duet with Kid Rock “Picture” and these CDs did have plenty of room to include those but I digress.
Plus you get singles from albums she put out since her first greatest hits which does make this collection more definitive. But I am confused. There must be 2 different versions of this collection. The track listing on my Disc 2 is slightly different. Track 1 I have “Sweet Rosalyn” from the Sheryl Crow album not “Sweet Child O’Mine” and Track 12 I have “Riverwide” from Globe Sessions not “Tomorrow Never Dies” but I am OK with this.
