Day 2 Cardio Power and Resistance
I’m embarrassed to say that I woke up extremely sore from Day 1′s fitness test. During class, I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to get through today’s workout because of how sore I was feeling. It’s good to know that your mind gives up faster than your body does, cause here I am finished day two, wooo!
I noticed during the workout that I need to work on my full body movements. The “hit the floor” and “globe jumps” really get me and I notice that I can’t keep up with Shaun T. Of 30 seconds, I would have to rest for at least 15 of them for these particular exercises. They are definitely movements I will be working on in the coming weeks.
So since accounting bootcamp started last Monday, I have been back to taking naps again. In second semester of HBA2 I didn’t nap at all after school. I actually had a regular sleep cycle. I think this is because I enjoyed my classes and kept myself busy with other things as well. In accounting bootcamp, I have zero interest in the classes and as such, each 3 hour lecture just does damage to my body. “Follow your passions and you’ll never have to work a day in your life” has never rung more true. I feel that accounting may be the opposite of my passion, so day in and day out just feels like work. Very dreadful work. Sleep just washes it all away and is why I’m back to napping. I’m hoping that with insanity, I will be able to combat this fatigue and fight through the day without napping. You really become to a slave to your fatigue as a napper!
I have my first exam on Monday for Corporate Financial Reporting. We started this program less than two weeks ago and I already have lots to study for before Monday. We have covered about 600 pages worth of material. Admittedly, I have only read through about 70% of the assigned readings and have completed even less problems. Topics covered are consolidations of financial statements between parent companies and subsidiaries and foreign currency translations. Here’s to starting a productive study grind in the coming days!
See you tomorrow for Day 3!
