They did SEEM like they might touch on that funnily enough. Like, even Globgor wasn't up for being freed because he was afraid of "doing something that would prove them right about him" which honestly would have been interesting.
It really felt like they were hoping that maybe they'd get renewed for more seasons at the last minute when they were really deciding to actually introduce Glogbor as a character, considering how much it felt like they didn't actually know what they wanted to do with him.
I'll stand by the belief that it might have been better if he stayed crystallized. Because the only thing that him being freed really does, ultimately, is just give Eclipsa a completely happy ending, since she gets to be with her husband and daughter, basically none of them have really aged due to either being crystallized or turned back into a baby, and all their actual enemies and people who wrong them all those years ago, are dead and gone.
