I started watching through Tales of Arcadia with my mother after she found out that 3Below was part of a bigger series, and seeing you post about it got me excited because hey, someone else watches and enjoys these, but also didn't want to check out more content because I didn't want to get spoiled on the rest of everything.
Now that I've finished watching it all tho and seen the movie, I kinda wish I did get spoiled because... wow. I am glad to see I'm not the only one who didn't like that movie.
I managed to avoid most of the spoilers for ROTT but honestly it wasn't worth the trouble, that shit sucked. At this point I pretty much only really like the storylines for trollhunters and 3below. Wizards had cool stuff going on but the second time travel gets introduced as a plot device I'm less inclined to like it especially with the way they went about it. There's always so many plotholes that leave me unsatisfied and that whole time travel thing at the end of the movie literally just undid all the plot and character development the three shows worked on. Like what was the point of telling those stories like that if you're gonna get rid of it all in the end?? The writing of the movie reminded me of a subpar fanfic where fucking everything is happening at the same time and it can't decide whether to be a crack fic or an actual plot so it flip flops between the two and makes a dumpster fire disaster. That was not the writing I expected from a bigger name movie with three shows and six seasons leading up to it. Like I enjoy reading those sometimes but it's not quality content, it's like intentionally garbage.
I'll at least give them points for some of the moments in the film, cause when they hit them, they Hit them. The giant robot was fucken epic and the titans were also just so good looking! Really nice animations and some real good visuals (they've always had really good and strong visuals which I love). Really it was just the writing I had problems with since I watched wizards and ROTT. Imma leave it at that cause I could go on for a while about this ngl
