YV Ministry Leads with Gospel in their new Release “Glory and Honor” featuring Trey McLaughlin

Seasoned singer-songwriter Kelley Nicole and established producer, engineer and performer C-Aye have come together to form YV Ministry. 

YV Ministry is a worship and gospel band which came about from Nicole and C’Aye’s work at the Covenant Blessing Fellowship where they both lead praise and worship. 

Their new release, “Glory and Honor”, is an R&B worship song and is all about God’s love for us and His presence in our every day lives. The single features internationally renowned vocalist and composer Trey McLaughlin. 

With influences from the likes of Hillsong and Johnathan McReynolds, and a sound similar to that of Khalid and Boyz II Men, “Glory and Honour” demonstrates how music is combined with art to portray God and the impact he has on us all. 

C-Aye says that: 

“It was in that time of prayer and worship when God gave me this song. I was thinking about the principle of keeping yourself focused on glorifying God, and if the work that you're trying to do in life is honoring God, it keeps you on the path of that perspective. The perspective that glory & honor belong to God. The more we put effort into other stuff, the easier we split into distraction and the like. So I wanted to write a song that said exactly that. And God directed me to the fact that you don't always have to find another way to say what you want to say. Just say it. He gave me a wonderful melody and the rest just poured out.”

With a captivating gospel chorus, and soothing piano chords and percussion, listeners will be captivated and feel as if they are in the room with them. 

Having Trey McLaughlin feature on this beautiful song is a Blessing indeed. With his unique blend of expressive vocals and intricate arrangement in this song, it is a perfect track to play this Christmas season.

Both Nicole and C’Aye have more than 15 years of experience in the music industry, including in production, engineering and performance. C’Aye has worked for acclaimed producers and artists like Aaron Lindsay, Kirk Franklin, Claude Deuce, India.Arie and R&B hit writers Nate Dogg, Devine Evans and more. Kelley Nicole was formerly one of the lead vocalists for the critically-acclaimed Afro-funk band, Soulfège, and has performed around the world. She has been blessed to share the stage with such renowned artists as Bobby McFerrin and El Debarge. 

Now together, using music as their chosen vessel, their vision is to make YV Ministry a space where anyone can surrender themselves to the presence of God, and feel comforted, confident, and empowered by His everlasting love, covering, and supernatural guidance.
