Uvs lake is the largest saline lake in #Mongolia, covering 3,350 km² at an elevation of 759 m. This lake sits right on and partially crosses the #Russian border in the North West Region. It was pretty tough going to get here, so much so that one rider went down with extreme heat exhaustion. I'd never seen anyone sweat like he did that day, it was literally like someone had poured a bucket of water over him. Thankfully a few of us stayed by his side until we could get a local passer by to take him to camp by car as the backup vehicle was in #strife of its own. It took us #riders another 3-4 hours before getting to camp due to the soft #terrain, but you know you're in a special place when the sun is setting on your arrival at 10pm at night. Sharing this leg with some #amazing people was definitely a highlight and I'll never forget the laughs that @not.lost_touring, Ian and I had during that time.
