It was not surprising, that the maiden would, only sometimes, sustain an injury. But then, it was not surprising that Demeter would be the one to offer up her help. She bandaged the wound with careful precision, and soothing gentleness, using her knowledge of healing plants to aid her, and her nurturing instinct to put the younger goddess at ease.
