I ready like your Gloria/Penny stories and I wanted to ask you how it would go when Penny goes back to Paldea.

They probably do long distance-

Would Gloria get live updates on Mission Starfall?

Would Gloria go to Paldea? If yes, how chaotic will it get with Nemona?

Oh, I've absolutely thought about Gloripen when it comes to heading back to Paldea! After all, Gloria makes it a point during the first fic that she knows Penny's communication is, for lack of a better term, abysmal. So a lot of their time in Galar is learning healthy communication.

And when it comes time to finally return to Paldea with her suspension over, the two agree to try and make it work best they can - Gloria does have to deal with the Galar League, after all, the next Gym Challenge begins like a month before the treasure hunt!

So, with some effort, Gloria does enroll with Penny to head back to Uva, even though she'll have to go back and forth between the regions as needed for Galar stuff. And hoo boy, does she need to physically stop Penny from doing Operation Starfall and remind the girl to please just talk to them.

I won't reveal much else about this idea, because I would genuinely love to write about what would happen some day as a proper fic! Buuuut I will leave you with the Nemona dynamic.

Penny:

Poor girl is not built for how much battling will occur between Gloria and Nemona. It's like, frame one of stepping out of the airport and Nemona just manifests to challenge Gloria.

Why has Arceus cursed her to be friends with so many diehard battlers.

Penny vs The Legendary Sword of Galar

New Gloripen fic! Remember the one I wrote for shipping week? It's a mini series now, called "Swords and Stars" which I will be doing whenever I feel like it!

Penny and Gloria decide to set up camp, make some curry and let their Pokemon get to know one another. Takes place during the events of A Glorious Meeting

Silly thoughts about Glorystarshipping (Penny/Gloria)

Continuing to yap about ships I and like, 2 other people enjoy

But I think the idea of this ship is so funny if it happens like, not long after Crown Tundra. Like maybe Gloria gets invited to Peony's place to celebrate and the entire dinner is fine up until Nia cheerfully announces she convinced Penny to leave her room.

Gloria just sees this sad lil' thang appear from her darkened room, decides she's cute and goes "Yep, this one, I'll take it thanks."

And the funniest potential of this ship?

Nia hating it.

...Comically, I mean.

Like here she is, introducing her little sister to her friend, all is well, Gloria is being nice, Penny is actually engaging in conversation for once, cool beans.

And then Gloria flirts. And Nia's mind just blanks for a moment because what.

Penny seemingly ignores it (Why would this random new girl take an interest in her? Obviously it's a joke. Can't be anything else) and things seem fine, but then Gloria gets Penny's number, and Nia notices over the course of a few days the programmer is gradually doing better. Fine, she can accept this-

Except then Penny decides to leave the house for a day, which she hasn't done since being suspended, and Nia gets suspicious.

Sure enough, Gloria somehow convinced the grumpy hacker to leave her room and spend the day with her, doing all she can to take down Penny's walls and make her smile, even earning a cute fit of giggles.

And Nia sees it all. And she keeps giving Gloria the benefit of the doubt because that's her baby sister, surely Gloria wouldn't-

And then, after a bunch of friendly hang outs, Gloria texts Nia to ask for permission to date Penny. And Nia is not having it. THAT'S HER SISTER.

Penny winds up inadvertently asking Gloria out somehow (She couldn't take the doubt anymore, but she's glad she wasn't misreading things after all) and Nia is so against this, just full overprotective big sis mode. She goes so far as to team up with Peony to protect Penny-

Except Peony turns out to be super on board once he finds out it's Gloria. Ugh.

Nia and Penny of course have a heart to heart about it, with Nia ultimately accepting it... But she still shoots Gloria the stinkeye and makes it clear any breaking of hearts will result in murder.

I just find the idea of Nia flipping her opinion around because of big sis protective mode really funny, just wanting Penny to be safe given the rough time she had at that fancy schmancy Paldean academy.

...Which gives an even sillier thought to me of Gloria finding out about Team Star and deciding to join Penny in Paldea. Imagine being those Team Star grunts trying to recruit Penny when her girlfriend, the Champion of Galar, shows up.

That might require it's own post or one shot some day, lmao.
