Drabble #02: So Be It

Prompt: Write from the prospective of a fairytale villain at the moment where they think they've gotten away with their crimes, and are unaware of the imminent downfall about to befall them.

Day after day, after day, after day he plotted and planned. Hours spent for the single goal of revenge. Death and destruction were small prices to pay to right the wrong that had been done to him.—A selfish thought, but he was not above thinking this way.

Of course, he had more to gain by doing this than just petty revenge. He would get power… and honestly, wasn’t that what everyone wanted in a way? The only difference was how a person was willing to obtain it, and he was willing to go the distance.

If having the ambition to do whatever it takes made him an evil man, then so be it. Life wasn’t fair, and people needed to realize that.
