there’s a handful of people I could list here, but then I’d be worried I forgot someone ((((((((: so imma go with two because I couldn’t decide on just one ahsdsjhdgsdy

@sicsemper​​​  i attacked mika back in august last year, because i was absolutely in awe of his writing -- anything i would see on the dash, i would read, and i was waiting for my opportunity to creep in like !! everything he writes truly captures the depth of the character, down to the smallest detail -- his writing is **chef’s kiss**, and i aspire to write just half as decent as him. I don’t get the chance to read a lot of books, so this as close to it as i’m going to get right now. I live for his meta’s, when he starts going off on discord, i’m fed for the week. I’ve learnt so many extra little things about xv -- and considering i’ve been a long time fan, since versus -- it’s refreshing to analyse things in a new light -- like some of the lore and deeper references -- truly that man’s mind is wonderful, ( insane but -- ) and i thoroughly enjoy his presence -- tru m8 ;)

@sunlilted​​​ -- nYX!!!  when i tell you that i live for our discussions on discord - WE’VE had a lot of behind the scenes with these boys for many months, and i’m always thrilled to read about a thought they’ve had !! things that we know, but we don’t know the in depth -- like one time they told me about beads, the symbolic value and even how certain colours hold placement in nyx’s community. that’s just ONe example -- But, when nyx does swing around on the dash -- i just lose my shit. it’s wonderful to see someone who writes nyx, cares and fleshes him out so deeply, and isn’t just used there because he’s a pretty man ( i mean he is, but ) honestly, i feel blessed to have found their blog and seeing them around -- even on oc’s just brings me joy and happiness. <3

Tifa had decided to join Cloud this evening, not that she really needed to - and he had told her as much, if in passing. Still, he was grateful for the company at least, even if small talk wasn’t his strongest suit, but surely Tifa knew that about him already. 

Strife had never been a fan of guard duty detail, it was a mind-numbingly boring job, but at the fact of the matter remained that someone had to do it, and if that someone just so happened to be him, then he’d take one of the team. 

The shift had begun much how he’d expected; in silence, the only sounds filtering into the clearing being the crackle of the camp fire and the cicadas chirping nearby. That was until the girl crept closer, much to Cloud’s rather ignorant eye before she’s casually leaning against his shoulder, while he poked the kindling idly with a stick.  

It wasn’t unusual behaviour, not by any means, and Strife chose to pay her no real mind in that moment save for the single arm he habitually hung about her shoulders - the pair had shared plenty of embraces in the past that this seemed to him, to be the most natural thing in the world. But when he dared to shift his gaze her way, that smattering of pink dusting her face caught him off kilter, reducing him to blinking at her stupidly for a second... or twenty. 

“You okay...?” he asks, the puzzlement quite evident in his tone as well as with the subtle arch to his brow. Her expression was strange, Cloud surmises then... she’d never looked at him like that before. 

Maybe she was getting sick...?

                    THE    EXPLOSION    HAD    NEARLY    knocked    her    off    her    feet    .    crystalline    eyes    rose    up    to    the    massive    glowing    cloud    of    fire    and    smoke    .    debris    came    flying    down    on    to    the    people    mingling    within    the    streets    .    she    was    quick    to    react    ,    allowing    blasts    of    ice    come    shoot    forth    from    hands    to    block    large    masses    of    rubble    .    she    was    running    about    ,    panicking    in    trying    to    save    and    protect    as    many    as    possible    .    in    truth    ,    she    was    spreading    herself    thin    in    the    chaos    which    made    her    very    weak    when    all    seemed    alright    (    as    alright    as    it    could    be    with    what    had    happened    )    .

So it has been snowing in London, a lot!! It has been a while since last time I saw that much snow ❄️. she’s got the bar running as usual, but there’s an unsuspecting cake tucked away for a particular occasion. once the clock strikes twelve, a keen and excited brawler cues the patrons with the secret code ( they were filled in prior to all of this, of course ) — and the bar erupts in a unanimous, joyful burst of HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! tifa smiles, gloved hands him a party hat just for the birthday boy. her own wish soon follows, smiling all the way through. “happy birthday, noctis.”

AS THE BAR ERUPTS WITH THE SONG  ,  a lot of them singing off key  ,  Noctis’ cheeks flush.   He wasn’t one that liked having the attention on him.   Easily slipping back into that awkwardness as his head dips and eyes find the wooden top of the bar.   Even as the party hat nestles on his hair.   Though there is a smile on his face as he rubs the back of his neck in an almost sheepish kind of manner.

Many people clapping him on the back  ,  one particular large hand had him almost cant forward over the bar while the air rushed from his lungs and he coughed.   

❝ Thanks. ❞   Still spoken somewhat awkwardly  ,  ocean hues glancing around at those who now seemed to be using the day of his birth as an excuse to drink even more.   Drinks lined up on the bar in front of him  ( one he was told to be careful of as it was a concoction. )  

He reaches over the bar  ,  taking the brawler’s gloved hand in his own and offering a warm smile.  It had been a while since he’d last even thought about celebrating his birthday   --   but right now he couldn’t think of any place he’d rather be.
