PIXI BY PETRA GLOW MIST

Hello!  Your reptilian overlord here to tell you about an awesome product that is making makeup possible for me this fine, dry winter.  I’ve heard A LOT of stuff about the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist being the end all, be all for a pre-makeup AND post makeup application hydrating spray.  Then I saw the price and puked in my mouth a little.  Fifty bucks I do not have.  I went on the hunt for a reasonably price alternative, and lo and behold, Kathleen Lights talked about the Pixi by Petra Glow Mist as a cost effective dupe.  Awesome recommendation!  The Glow Mist is an oil-based mist you shake to Hell and back again then spray on your skin after you moisturize.  Once you apply your foundation and powders, you spray two to three more pumps to lock in hydration.  It works!  It really works.  And it never feels greasy or heavy or oily.  If you’re using BB creams or thinner foundations you’ll see a nice dewy appearance to your makeup when you’re done.  Matte foundations will look like they’re not trying to glue themselves to your dry patches which is always nice.  I have sensitive skin and haven’t had any issue with this breaking me out or causing discoloration.  I’m not too surprised by that, though; the oil in the product is Argan Oil, which is Josie Maran’s bread and butter and I’ve used a lot of her products without incident.  Enjoy!  $15

Pixi Glow Mist

Hydrating mists are always fun, who doesn’t love a good spritz? What I love about Glow Mist is that it’s genuinely hydrating, the inclusion of Argan oil means that rather than a watery mist (that can actually be drying if you’re not careful), it really helps my skin when its feeling dry in the middle of the day.

Not only this, it gives a genuine glow, I’ve had a friend legit tell me my skin was glowing one time I used it, not in that gross shiny way you can sometimes look, but more in a dewy and radiant sense (or at least I hope). Although, fair warning, if I overspray and then also use more “glow giving“ or “dewy look“ products I can get a bit shiny, but that’s just me at fault.

It’s a really versatile product, I often use it instead of a facial oil underneath my moisturiser (it’s quicker than waiting for an oil to sink in), or if my makeup isn’t looking great (problems with dry skin or just a bad foundation day) I spritz some on and pat it in, and somehow everything is better. It’s also great for just refreshing your face halfway through the day.

Pixi is a brand I automatically have faith in, and this is just one of their products I love, it’s perfect for anyone wanting to refresh their skin, keep it hydrated and nourished, and just generally look a little more radiant.
