I'm going to take November to showcase what I think are some of the greatest poi performances I've seen pop up in the past couple years, starting with this gorgeous glow performance from Mel. I've seen a LOT of poi spinners try to translate ideas that work well on fire or with practice poi over to glow and not realize how different an artform it is. The strength of this performance is that Mel realizes his body isn't as visible as it would be with either of those other performance types, so he does everything he can to make the performance be about the interaction between his two poi. The moments when you can clearly make out what his body is doing then become icing on the cake.
