How did you know that you wanted to be a doctor?
hi maria! this is a question that had me thinking for a while omg. i guess i wanted to become a doctor because i couldn't imagine myself doing anything else tbh. ever since i can remember, this is the only thing i wanted to be (... excluding the phase when i wanted to be a paleontologist after watching jurassic park lol).
i think i wanted to be a doctor because i grew up seeing so many. as a child, i lived in my grandparents' house for a few years, and they always used to rent out the upper portion of their house. since the house was a short distance from a really famous medical college, the ppl who used to live there were always undergraduate or postgraduate students who went to that college. so i kinda grew up watching ppl come and go with a white coat and stethoscope on. and i really looked up to them too... they were always so knowledgeable and looked like they knew what they were doing. so naturally i wanted to be like them when i grew up! in hindsight, i'm laughing thinking abt it 😂 but having grown up around those med students really did have an impact on me. my mom tried to discourage me from taking up med school tho, because she thought it was too stressful and required too much work... and well, it didn't stop me because i'm stubborn lol.
i think we're all put on this earth to do whatever we can to help our communities... and for me personally, this seemed like the best way to do it 💞
Hey Carol! Please don't answer if it's too personal but, what was your uni degree and what job do you do now? I'm just curious cause I'll be graduating in 2021 and I don't really know what I want to do next 😅
hi hi! i studied psychology and now work as a marketing executive. it’s v natural + common to not know your next steps after graduation (i certainly didn’t) but things will work out in the end. best of luck!!
Hello there! I just recently found your acc and I love it ! 💛 I just wanted to ask you because I'm currently studying undergrad chem and want to go down the bio path, what did you study for your undergrad and grad? (It's completely ok if you don't want to disclose, I completely understand xx) thank you for your time 😁
Hello! I did my undergrad in Genetics & Public Health; my graduate degree is in Cellular Biology, with an emphasis on Neuroscience

Is it normal to feel v sore that your thighs hurt after a workout? 🤔
muscle pain after a workout is normal as long as it’s not like a sharp, stabbing pain! stretching and doing a cool down after a workout usually helps to reduce it.
is a Avatar the Last Airbender a movie or a tv series? I'm confused :3
both, but the tv cartoon series is infinitely superior to the live-action movie
Hey Carol! I want to workout regularly but I quit everytime it gets unpleasant 😤 could you give some tips/ recommend some workouts for absolute beginners like me?
hello!! i always recommend blogilates for workout videos, she has a ton of beginner workouts on her channel which are just the right amount of challenging. she’s also a ball of sunshine and i l o v e her so i hope u will too!! i’ve also recently started doing emi wong workout videos and she has some beginner workouts too, but tbf i feel like even her regular workouts are beginner friendly?? they’re not super intense so i think u would find them useful too.
