The grievances slowly fade, like drops of rain they collect and whisk whisk away. Here we are again at the same place. The chicken,roasted, hungrily steams as the cider pops and th e cola sizzles. Across the table, hands holding, the pasta smears your cuffs and the sides whisker my wrists. "Tomorrow is your big day." We both stop, afraid to choke, finding the outside lights musing our eyes. The dishes change hands and the party laughters gallantly exchange. "I will miss this." She sparks her smile, eyes singly gracing my nose, chin, and lips. Grips tighten and the colors fade brashly. "Don't forget me Tom." The grievances slowly fade. I relive this day, everyday, but like drops of rain I will forgive the decisions made. Tomorrow. Tomorrow their sleight will collect. Some way I will whisk whisk them away.
