A long awaited closed starter for @gluttonybound
Darkness. Sadness. Desperation. That was all it could be registered as High Tide trailed forward, a ragged cloth over his head with a shaky servo holding it to hide some of his figure better. Tiredness. Anguish. Terror. He couldn’t bear with his new ‘life’. He had to do something, anything. And that he did, as his heavy footsteps made some marks on the floor before him with broken chains being dragged from his arms and legs, one heavy metal collar wrapped around his neck with yet another broken chain on the other end that swang with his heavy breathing, exhaustion winning over him.. No, not stopping now. Not after managing to escape with minor difficulties and going so far by foot. If he stopped, they would find him and he would be forced to go back to his nightmare.
There was a light at the end of the way much to his relief, which gave him strong determination to go for it. Finally, a way out! Picking up his bearings, High Tide shook off the feeling and walked faster towards the source, slowly realizing there was something else with the light. A sound, to be exact. Wait, was that... music?
When he came back into his senses, the tall figure managed to walk inside a place full of color. Full of life... Full of hope. Making his way into the crowd, metallic footsteps went foward, towards the song that was once muffled. He went closer. And closer. And closer, as the music got louder. And louder... and louder.
High Tide stood in place as he saw who belonged the voice that lured him inside: she resembled a bee of sorts, and was happily singing to the crowd before her. His hand almost stopped holding the cloth hiding himself entirely, he was amazed by seeing someone so bright and energetic in a place like this. How was that even possible? A place of light between darkness? Was his eyes sparkling a bit or was the scenario that gave such impression?
