Basically for the Christmas markets
My brother and I checking out the #christkindlmarkt in @muenchen right off #marianplatz. My lovely friend @irinavonkleist recommended I try the #gluwhein. We found a few carts that sold them and we had to break a few of our larger euro dollars. I treated my brother to some cherry gluwhein at #bodos. Yay! It comes with a mug! We’re doing another Christkindlmarkt today before we head off the Prague. #travel #traveling #munich #christmas #stumpday (at Munich, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/afelineofspectre/p/BrZgVG1gD2r/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1h4zkm0zrp6u3

Ode to Gluwhein (continued)- a very delicious runner up pictured here, hot eggnog. Very strong eggnog by the way! Also, check out the cute Christmas mug I also scored. Perfect souvenir from Nurnberg.

What better way to keep warm while strolling through the cold, cobblestone streets than with a nice mug of gluwhein? What's really great is during Christmas time, you can get some really pretty mugs to take home for just a couple extra coins.
Pictured above is Nurnberg's claim to fame- the world's largest flaming punch bowl. Also, in Germany you toast by saying "Prost" and looking the other person in the eye while cheers'ing. We may have taken this a little too seriously, but gluwhein is no joking matter!
Thank you, gluwhein, for keeping me warm this winter. Prost!
