gm_pool is getting a nav_mesh update!
Prior to gm_pool's final release, we almost went with white walls.
However, having only one primary color for environment can be a hit or a miss. As we were aiming for bringing a new perspective into environmental landscapes (urban), having white as the main color made the place look dull.
The trees and the building the skybox looked perfectly but it still looked out of place on the inside. No one would want to revisit a place that lacked color unless you're thinking of museums or guided tours through Hobby Lobby.
Bringing in color gave the house more life. It'd be to revisit tackling a bland area with only specks of color. That'll be for another map.
Compared to the final results, I'm happy I decided cure the sickly pale theme for the interior. The walls and the some of the railings decided to be changed.
In areas of that lacks color, you don't have to rainbow-ize everything. but if you want to make it that way - a very helpful practice is to use it in areas that can make it memorable for players to recognize routes. Or, have fun with it! There's no right or wrong, there's eye strain and then there's eye-soothing.
With the final picture being a change to the outside of the house, I think it was a good idea to splash some colors, then leave it as is. That way the early morning feel can give it some more colorful.
A huge thank you to @feathergust because they taught me the proper way to create ambience as it would look in real life.
Bunger on the mind.
This would've been a thumbnail for GM_POOL, but we eventually settled on showing the pool itself for honest advertising.
