I just remembered in "good men and true" there was that one scene where Luke suggested they could just pretend that Laura was dead and I know this is extremely random but I always thought that was such a cool little nod to "much ado about nothing" and i think about that a lot so I thought I should tell you, lol. Also, that was a great story, as is Little Giants. Keep up the good work :) xx

awww man good men and true!  i miss gmat, and writing 5sos in general, a lot. i’m glad you picked up on that lil much ado reference!!  for a second i definitely contemplated them actually faking laura’s death, but that was a bit too far fetched, even for addie!

Hi! Just wanted to say that I loved the latest 2 GMAT chapters! The "this is a forever kind of thing" line just landed so well and hit me right in the chest. It's so real life to have those moments when you have to question what something is and I just loved the way you wrote that scene, great writing! Can't wait for the last few chapters! Do you think you'd ever do a one shot or something to give us a little peek into Michael and Laura's make up after everyone left the room?

Thank you!!! I’ve never written characters talking about their feelings that explicitly before so I was a bit worried about but I’m glad it landed well with you!!

And haha I’d have to give that one some thought… I think Laura probably sat on the bed and cried and Michael put his arm around her and said, “I’m sorry I believed that you cheated on me. I’m an asshat and an idiot. I love you. Can you ever forgive me?” And then Laura said, “I already did, I was just waiting for you to say sorry” and then they lived happily ever after.

i just wanted to say that you are a blessing because not only do you give us a plethora of stories - you give us a plethora of /good/ stories. like really well written, well developed, intriguing stories that have me hooked from the start. and even though it's been a bit since the last update of gmat or double plaid, i still knew exactly where we left off because good stories stick with you. thank you for being so lovely!

I just read GMAT 16 and I LOVED it. It was cheesy and cuteness and I can't wait to see what happens next. Also, I would love to see this chapter from Calum's point of view. Like what he was thinking through the whole thing. Again, I LOVED it! Thanks!

Calum and Addie!! Who gets excited about Halloween in July? Who touches the other with their freezing cold feet at night?
 Who loves carving pumpkins and buys about 300? Who is terrible at carving pumpkins? Who gets scared when they watch Horror movies? Who hands out candy to trick-or-treaters? What is their couples costume?

who gets excited about halloween in july?

CALUM he loves halloween even though it’s not a big thing in australia and he celebrates it no matter where he is in the world and addie never dresses up and he’ll be like “wait what’s your costume” and she’s like “your ex-girlfriend” 

who touches the other with their freezing cold feet at night?

CALUM because he hates socks he abhors them this isn’t just a headcanon i’m pretty sure i’ve mentioned it before (but also he’s a furnace so idk if his feet are ever really that cold) 

who loves carving pumpkins and buys about 300?

calum, he loves grabbing the knife out of everybody else’s hand and finishing their pumpkin for them

who is terrible at carving pumpkins?

CALUM honestly he should stick to songwriting

who gets scared when the watch horror movies?

oh addie for sure.  she thinks she’s really great at scary stuff because she’s like “what would jennifer garner in alias do in this situation” but in reality addie clifford would just hide under her bed. 

who hands out candy to trick-or-treaters?

this is actually addie because she loves kids, and calum’s the one hiding in the bushes jumping out to scare them while addie just stands in the doorway and rolls her eyes.

what is their couples costume?

hmmmm well addie hates costumes but i think one year (early in their relationship when they haven’t been together that long probably) calum hosts this big halloween party at his house and of course addie has to play hostess (even though she doesn’t live there, which she reminds calum every five minutes with a huge raise of her eyebrows that’s like “ask me to move in with you you idiot”) and calum spends weeks and weeks planning out these super secret costumes and finally he shows them to addie, and he’s dressed up as her and wants her to dress up as him and she’s like “fuck that i’m being a cat.”
