"I saw her on ThouTube, 'Twas Ghastly"
I remember falling asleep on the couch as a child to my parents watching the local news on TV. Then, that and print were the only thing keeping Americans informed. Nowadays thanks to media convergence it's hard not to be informed.
I'm reminded of an episode of the popular show How I Met Your Mother where the group of friends in the series TiVo's the Superbowl so they can all watch it the next day together. However surviving the day at work proves almost impossible as the score is all over the web on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Google, and all over TV and on billboards.
As a twenty something, I am always connected. Honestly, I find out about most of my news through Twitter and Google - I can't remember the last time I spent an evening glued to CNN like my parents did.
As for the next generation, it's almost impossible to imagine. Google's new computer glasses may be the first step in a totally connected future.
