Last week I was sent to the Okanagan region of Canada to photograph apple farmer Neal Carter for the Wall Street Journal. He has made a GMO apple, named the Arctic Apple, which does not brown after taking a bite. It was a beautiful day and most of the workers were just finishing their long day of harvesting this year's crop of Apples. The GMO apple, which isn't pictured, is still in production and hoping to pass FDA regulators.
Here is the story on the Wall Street Journal's website - http://online.wsj.com/articles/inventing-a-gmo-apple-that-wont-brown-1412964241
Make your voice heard! Tell the USDA you don't want these GMO apples hitting our stores buying signing the petition.
