the older I get the more I realize that the spider that bit spidey and lead to his whole wall-crawling shenanigans couldn't have been radioactive. More than likely it was genetically modified and carrying a virus that could replicate parts of it's genetic code in a new host. Which is horrifying if you think about it long enough that Peter Parker was an asymptomatic Patient 0 of some kind of mutating virus that just never got transmitted to anyone
