As the theme for the November #gmrituals class is gratitude, my lunar page is about not feeling grateful. There are some things in life that I don’t feel happy about or thankful for. The theme for October in the #gmrituals class is heritage. This page is all about my amazing Grandma, Jennie Z. Gilbert, who was one of the kindest women I ever knew. She loved playing the piano and writing in her little notebooks. Many of these images are copies of old faded photos from the family archive going back to 1920s Ireland. On the lower left is a poem my Grandma wrote in 1926 and, on the upper right, a saying my grandparents had up on their mantelpiece in Dublin. The black and white monoprint in the upper left corner is not my Grandma in real life, but represents her when she was younger than all these photos.
