stuck on the odd look Riley gave Maya after saying "I know I would" about liking Jexica. Seemed like she was wondering about what Maya said, like she's wondering if it was intended as more than just friendly support, and perhaps is unsure as to what to think. I think its going to be significant later/ thoughts?
It’s definitely an interesting acting choice. I could play Devil’s Advocate and speculate that she was just imagining the influence she could wield as Jexica, but that seems like a bit of a stretch to me.
There’s pretty much always going to be a part of me that thinks, “What if Rilaya really is their true endgame? What if they actually want to pull a Korrasami?” Because I think that’s the only satisfactory explanation for the way things like this happen. At my most optimistic, I want to believe that this was deliberate and it was Riley wondering in just what way Maya meant that statement.
