Ben's search through Area 51

This is mainly a small one shot that happens in my AU, but it technically could be read as the Prime timeline as well.

Ben looked on in pure horror as he flew around invisibly as Big Chill.

He knew that he wasn't gonna like whatever he was gonna find in this secret 'holding facility', that much was obvious, but he didn't expect it to be…

Hundreds, there were hundreds of aliens being kept here, in conditions that he was sure were inhumane on all planets.

Some of them looked fine physically, even if their spirits clearly weren't, but most of them… honestly Ben wondered how they were still alive.

Looking at the non eaten food they had, it was clear they weren't fed with what their species needed, Ben knew this, he knows most of the species in here, he has been, and still is, some of them, like that Lepidopterran he saw at the beginning.

Ben was feeling worse the more he went and the more he counted. 769, 770, 771, 772, 773, 774. 774 aliens, all imprisoned in conditions that were borderline torture.

When he reached the end he couldn't take it anymore, he landed on his feet and leaned on a wall. It was all too much. Ben wasn't even sure what he was feeling anymore. 

Horror at a sight he never could have imagined, fury and disgust at the Colonel for daring to do such a thing, sadness for the poor aliens who couldn't have possibly done anything to deserve this, guilt at himself for not finding them sooner, they were here for years, on the same planet as him and he never knew.

It was probably all of that at once.

He didn't even notice that he dropped his invisibility.

"... Hey… little bug…"

The voice was so quiet and hoarse, like they haven't spoken in years, which was probably the case, but it was all Ben could hear.

He turned to the source of the voice. It was one of the better looking aliens, a species Ben didn't recognize, they were probably more compatible with the food they were given.

When Ben looked in on them earlier, they had a completely hollow look, now though, some life seems to have returned to them, and there was something in their eyes…

"... I dunno… how… you got here… or if you… can understand me… but you need to leave… now"

Ah… It was fear.

This alien, who went through who knows what for who knows how long, was more afraid for Ben's safety, then they were for themselves, just wanting Ben to get away instead of wanting to have him help them.

Ben felt like a Piscciss Volann just ripped his heart out.

"But…"

God, Ben could barely speak, barely think, at that moment.

The alien didn't seem bothered by that though, instead their features softened and they spoke more gently.

"Look… I know… this is probably a lot… but if they find you… you'll be stuck here too… so… please… get out while you still can…"

'Held on suspicion of being a threat to planetary security', that's what the Colonel said before. What a joke. This alien is clearly no threat. Heck, they are more concerned about some random alien they never met before than they were about themself! 

This alien was more 'human' than Colonel Rozum ever could be.

Ben felt so sick. Not only with the Colonel but himself too. Here was a weak and sick alien who Ben is supposed to be helping, but is instead trying to help Ben himself! 

He was supposed to be a hero damn it! He can't be acting like a scared little kid now! Not when there are 774 aliens who need him!

And so, he takes a deep breath, holds it in, before letting it out, freezing the wall in front of him by accident in the process, and steels himself before standing up straight and looking over to the alien, who was looking stunned at the frozen wall, they clearly never met a Necrofriggian before, and said:

"Don't worry, you and everyone are getting out of here today. I'll make sure of it"

That's all Ben says, with a determination that seems to shock the alien, before flying up and straight through the ceiling.

Ben was indeed going to save them. 

He was gonna take care of the Colonel, gather all the available Plumbers, and get these aliens out of here. He won't stop until he does so. 

He might also need to check out the other bases too, just in case they also have 'holding facilities'.

Kageura Masato always hated his side effect.

It caused him way too much pain and anguish then he would like.

The last thing he needed for it to add his life was to deal with the emotions of a dead person on top of everything.

Heyo, have any headcanons about the WorTri 21 year olds? (Hopefully including Raizo because he gets left out quite often).

Honestly the 21 years olds are a fun group to write, so I enjoyed this.

• Reiji tries to be the most mature, most responsible in the group and to try to keep the others in check. But since he lets himself be loose the most around them, he doesn't always succeed.

•  He is also the one who, when they need a designated driver, doesn't drink, cause only he and Suwa have lisences (canon), but since Suwa always ends up drinking, it's up to Reiji.

• Kazama, while he is indeed mature and serious, he is also a complete little shit. You mustn't show weakness around him, or else you won't survive.

• Suwa is his main victim, since he is just too easy it's impossible not to mess with him. But he also does it with Reiji, specifically about Yuri. He'll just casually bring her up and watch the show. Raizo is the only one who managed to not give Kazama any ammo.

• This part of him is why the other 21 year olds keep records of every Kazama shenanigan, be it sober or drunk, that they witness. Not only for payback, but to also have proof to show those, who only know the serious and competent captain Kazama, that they aren't lying.

• We actually don't know exactly when Raizo joined, he isn't on the chart (rip), but since we know he transfered to an engineer 3~ years ago when bullet triggers became popular (so probably around when Nino, Izumi, Kako and such, came along) and I'm assuming he wasn't an attacker for only a month, so I think he enlisted around when Arashiyama and the others did (between Kazama and Suwa).

• He is the most chill out of the 4 of them, not even batting an eye when he gained a lot of weight by accident, so he mostly just silently watches the others in amusement and gets into the least shenanigans.

• Raizo is actually a very active ('will get things done when shit needs done'-wise and not physical-wise) person, but he allows himself to just be dragged around by the others.

• Despite having the least pressence and being mainly in the background (like in the actual series), the others make sure to keep him included. Raizo himself may be content to be simply researching and watching movies down in the R&D dapartment, but he won't say no to hanging out with those 3 goofs (no matter how much a certain crab will complain about being bored).

• Reiji actually tried to help Raizo get back in shape after he started gaining weight, but gave up when he realized Raizo really didn't care about it.

• Because of Raizo the other 3 have encountered Enedorad more than once, Reiji being rather casual about it, but Kazama and Suwa, who have fought that condescending jerk? They take every chance they can to mess with him, to the point where Raizo has to step in and make them stop.

• Poor Suwa got the short end of the stick, he is basicly considered the "youngest", despite being technically the 2nd oldest, and cause of how he doesn't hesitate to show how he feels, which causes him to have the best reactions, he often gets picked on a lot, mainly by Kazama.

• But despite this, he is undoubtly the heart of this friend group. The emotional core. The one in charge of emotional support.

• He is the main organizer of any outing they do, the most emotionally intune, making him realize almost immidiatly when any of them are feeling down and will immidiatly deal with it, and is really the main reason why they can just let loose and relax, you just can't help it when around Suwa.

• Because of this the other 3 are rather protective of Suwa, even if they won't show it to him, they'll allow others to tease and mess with him, but the moment someone genuinely hurts him or actually means any mean thing that they said, they'll be on that person like starved vultrus on a carcass.

• They are like that with each other as well, but they are especially brutal with Suwa offenders.

Everybody is always talking about how Kitora got a (not so secret) crush on him but is definitely in denial...you can write a prompt on Osamu realizing he likes her instead?

Or maybe some headcanons on how they could get together and be as a couple.

I really am sorry for the wait!

(Set between R6 and R7)

It started out as any other day for Osamu.

He woke up, had breakfeast with the other Tamakoma members who were there that morning, had a training session with Karasuma-senpai and spent the rest of his time strategizing for their team's next rank battle.

It wasn't untill the evening, when he went to Border with Reiji-san to pick up Kuga, who was there doing solo rank wars with Midorikawa.

Reiji-san also had something that Yuri-san had asked him to deliver, so they ended up parting ways, with Osamu going to fetch Kuga.

When he had arrived there he saw that Kuga had just cut down Midorikawa, making he score 6-3 for Kuga, and knowing them they are probably doing 10 rounds, so Osamu decided to wait there till they finish.

While he was waiting, Osamu started looking around at the other matches, since he was used to Kuga and Midorikawa's battles and he had nothing else to do.

Most of the battles were between C ranks, which made sense, since they need the points to become B ranks. There are some B ranks there too, most of whom Osamu didn't recognize, though he did see Ikoma-san fighting with Tachikawa-san, them being the only ones Osamu recognized aside Kuga and Midorikawa.

That is, until his eyes landed on one specific screen that made him stop.

It was Kitora.

Osamu couldn't help but think how rare that was, she didn't seem the type to use what little spare time she had for more combat.

Though thinking on it again it made sense, considering she is constently training to improve herself, something he deeply admired about her, and sparring with other agents her level is good training.

Osamu kept watching the match, watching each of Kitora's movements closely, how she skillfully dogded her opponent's attacks and how she kept using their weakpoints to her advantage to get any hit in, slowly pulling herself closer towards victory.

Osamu was mesmerized, he couldn't take his eyes off her, he didn't understand why, but something just had him glued to that screen.

Maybe because it was the first time he really got to see her fight another human being? Before that he only saw her fight trion soldiers, so maybe that's why he kept watching, to hopefully learn something from this rare encounter.

Yes, that had to be it.

Just then Kitora had managed to finish her opponent off, and a tiny smirk appeared on her face, probably without her even realizing it.

And all Osamu could think at that moment was how beautiful she was.

Oh.

Oh.

Osamu's mind shut down for a bit there, and while it was restarting he went through every interaction he had with Kitora, and how he always felt more nervous around her, but also more happy, then he was with any of his other acquaintances, and how he was always looking for her approval the most.

He thought this was cause he admired her, and he does, no doubt about that, but he is now also noticing how he always found her to be attractive, how he felt captivated whenever he looked into her eyes, or how when she got all happy whenever Karasuma-senpai was nearby, it made him think of how cute she was, but to also make him feel a bit unpleasent that she was like that with Karasuma-senpai only, and how-

By the time his brain has managed to reboot, Osamu came to one conclusion:

He had a crush on Kitora Ai.

Suprisingly, minus the original shock at the revelation, Osamu was rather calm.

The more he thought about it, the more it made sense that he liked Kitora.

Thought he doesn't know what he is going to do about this fact, since-

"Osamu!"

Osamu jumped when he felt someone grab his arm and shout his name right beside him.

He quickly turned around to see Kuga and Midorikawa, who was trying to not laugh at his reaction.

"Ku-kuga?! What was that for?!"

"That's for not responding to me calling your name 5 times."

Osamu felt his cheeks growing hot in embarrassment.

"Ah... I see... sorry about that, just got lost in my head" he said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"What were you even thinking about in the first place that got you so distracted Mikumo-senpai?" Midorikawa asked, his voice still laced with amusement.

Osamu couldn't help but glance at the screen that showed Kitora's match, which Kuga cought immidiatly and followed his gaze before blurting out "Is that Kitora?"

Midorikawa soon followed "Oh it is! How rare!"

"Were you watching her match Osamu?" Kuga looked back at Osamu.

Osamu knew there was no point in lying to Kuga so he simply just nodded and said "Yeah, I noticed her match while I was waiting for you two to finish, and I guess I ended up zoning everything else out."

"Oh I see, does that mean you ended up realizing something while watching it?"

Osamu couldn't help but sweat at Kuga's innocent question, he probably thought Osamu zoned out cause he realized something battle related.

"yeah... I did learn something..." Just then, Osamu's phone pinged.  Reiji-san sent a message asking about where they were. "Ah. It looks like Reiji-san is waiting for us."

Kuga seems to have noticed something was amiss with Osamu, but decided to keep that for later. "Hmm. Okay. Let's go then. Bye Shun! Thanks for the match!"

"Bye Yuma-senpai! Mikumo-senpai! I'll win next time Yuma-senpai! Just you wait!"

The duo said goodbye to Midorikawa before heading towards where Reiji-san was waiting for them.

But Osamu's thoughts about his revelation kept returning to him throughout the rest of the evening untill he was just sitting in his room thinking.

He was wondering what he should do.

Should he confess? He wants to but he was sure he would be rejected.

Though his father had said to him once that he shouldn't keep these kinds of feelings to himself, even if he thinks it's unrequited, or else he would just regret it, and he can't even know for sure if it is one-sided untill he actually asks.

So Osamu will tell Kitora how he feels.

But when should he...

He has so much going on in his life right now with the rank wars, the away mission and Aftokrator that he doesn't really want to date or deal with these kinds of things before he deals with all of that.

So he'll confess somewhere after the away mission, not sure when but that future is still far away, and since he isn't Jin-san he can't tell how things will progress, but he deffinetly doesn't want to confess before then.

He can figure out the hows and whens when the time arrives, he's got time after all.

Osamu felt a small smile growing on his face.

This was deffinetly not what Osamu had expected to learn today, but he is rather glad he did.

I couldn't figure out who I wanted it to be Kitora's opponent so I'll leave that to your imagination

well then, the first prompt. Rumors spread about Osamu being in a relationship with Kitora. Then rumors about him and Katori. All because they use Spider.

You have no idea how close I came to almost making this a full long ass fic, which I still wanna do but I'm gonna wait till we get more of an idea on what will happen in phase 1, cause I ended up enjoying this promt more than I expected, probably cause Osamu suffering in social situations is fun to write.

Rumors are unavoidable, Osamu knew this very well.

Even though he wasn't a very social person, he still ended up hearing rumors about people who he didn't even know their faces.

Heck, Osamu himself had a massive rumor spun around him, about the fact that he "tied" with Kazama Soya, the n.2 attacker, completely ignoring how Osamu lost 24 times before he managed a tie.

It seemed like creating and discussing rumors was a part of human nature.

A part Osamu just couldn't understand the point of, but it was still there.

And yet, despite knowing how easily outragous rumors can be created, he still didn't expect this one.

Osamu noticed shortly after they won the 5th round of the rank wars, that there was another rumor involving him.

It wasn't hard to tell, what with how all the C rank started whispering the moment they recognized him and all that.

Tho he hadn't learned what the rumor was, mainly cause he really didn't want to deal with another rumor, till Chika came back and told him that Hiura heard some people saying that Osamu and Kitora were dating, and that she asked Chika if this was true.

That revelation completely floored Osamu, since he couldn't fathom how anyone would think they were dating.

Sure they talked sometimes and Osamu deeply respects her but she is rather mean to him and doesn't hesitate to insult him and his lack luster abilities. Plus they never really talked one on one before, there was always someone else with them, like the rest of Arashiyama squad or Karasuma-senpai or even Kuga sometimes.

The 2 of them were never really seen alone together or have any implications of them dating, not to mention that they don't really act like what Osamu would call a way that two people who like each other would act like. Tho for the last bit he only has his parents for reference.

It seemed like Kitora heard about the rumor as well, tho she didn't seem to blame him, saying that "rumors about my love life are an expected part of being a Border representative" and that "It's nothing to worry about, rumors with no basis like this will just fade away eventually". Despite that Osamu noticed that Kitora was doing her best to not even be seen in the same room as him.

'Guess the rumor is effecting her much more then she lets on'

Osamu only encountered one really noisy C rank who kept pestering and not believing him when he said "no we aren't dating".

And even tho Kuga was there with him and was very clearly not happy with them, the girl still wouldn't leave.

It took Kageura-senpai, who came because he was getting annoyed that Kuga hasn't shown up yet, to threaten her to make her finally leave and not come back.

Fortunately, she was the worst, everyone else got the clue after Osamu said the rumor was false.

As the days went on, people were losing interest in the rumor and were moving onto other things, (like the rumors about Hyuse), and Osamu could finally breath more easily.

... that is untill after the rank wars were finally over.

Osamu was sitting on one of the couches in the main launge area of the Tamakoma branch in the evening, researching and theorizing anything that could prove useful in the away mission test, when he heard the door open.

He looked up and saw Kuga, who had just returned from another dinner at Kageura-senpai's.

He just finished saying "welcome back" when he noticed Kuga's expresion.

His face was mostly blank, with a hint of annoyence to it.

Osamu's was worried that something happened with his friends, since Kuga always comes back after hanging with them with a smile on his face and a rather happy aura.

Just when was about to ask what happened, Kuga looked him straight in the eyes and said, with that annoyence being more prominent in his voice:

"They started it again."

Osamu was confused and asked "...who started what again?"

"The rumors. They are back again and have gotten worse."

"The rumors... wait...!

You mean the ones about Hyuse!?"

Osamu stood up at that. If the rumors (which were actually true) about Hyuse being a neighbor were back then Hyuse would be in hot water again.

Before he could really spiral into that 'what if' Kuga quickly clarified "No. The one about you."

"... about me? Oh. You mean the Kitora one?"

Kuga just nodded at that.

"Ah... Is that so? I thought people lost interest in that?"

Kuga looked more annoyed and even irritated at that "It's back cause there is a new rumor that made people talk about it again."

Osamu paused for a moment before he fully registered what Kuga meant and then the dread started rising in him, his sweat drops increasing in number.

"...Another one? ...What is it this time?"

"It's about you dating Katori-senpai."

"..........what.....?" Osamu couldn't believe his ears and just had to ask again.

"Yeah. Nire-senpai told me. And this new rumor apperently made everyone remember the one about Kitora, and now there are theories on who you are really dating, or if you are actually dating both."

".......... huh.............?"

Osamu was confused beyong belief.

He put his head in his hands trying to wrap his head around this.

He could slightly get where the rumor about Kitora came from, especially if some C rank mistook any of Kitora's flusteredness around Karasuma-senpai as if it was directed at him, then okay. It's weird, but he supposes it makes some very little sense if you look at it in certain angles.

But Katori-senpai?!

The two of them literally never spoke or interacted outside of their one match in the rank wars. And that one match was enough for him to somehow piss her off, even Osamu, who was "pretty dense about these kind of things", according to Kuga, noticed that Katori couldn't seem to stand him.

So how in the world did someone think they were a couple?!?

Which reminded Osamu of one thing which made him want to have the floor swallow him whole.

"... I'm gonna be stuck with her for a full weak in a sealed enviroment..." he chocked out rather painfully.

Katori-senpai very likely wouldn't take this rumor as well as Kitora did. Kitora, while she wasn't happy about it, remained as calm as she could be on the surface. But Katori-senpai?! She would deffinetly take it out on Osamu!

Kuga just patted his back in a sympathetic way.

This away mission test was gonna much harder then Osamu could ever enticipated.

Bonus

"Hey Mikumo. Katori. Sorry if this is personal... but is the rumor about you two dating true? I wanna know since we are gonna be in here for a full week together." Oki-senpai asked when they were all done with everything for the first day of phase 1 and were getting ready to rest.

Osamu couldn't help but flinch and started slowly moving as far away from Katori-senpai as possible before she even blew up.

And blew up she did.

She angrily yelled stuff like: "like I would ever date a loser like him!!!" and "only someone brain dead would believe such a rumor!!!" and how "he needs to be atleast as 10% hot as Karasuma-kun is before I even entertain the idea of dating him!!!".

This went on for a while before Suwa-san piped up and asked:

"Wait I thought the rumor was about him dating Kitora?"

Osamu couldn't help but wish he did die in the invasion at that moment.

I’ve fallen into the World Trigger hole and I can’t get out. honestly I don’t even mind lmao. But yeah I fricken love this anime and the tamakoma branch (esp tamakoma-2). this is a little embarrassing but I just wanted to ask if you had any headcanons about tickle fights going on between the main characters. like does kuga and hyuse even know about this stuff? how would they react to being tickled? would osamu and chika have to team up to win? do the senpais use it to control their students? silly stuff like that. ahh no worries if youre not okay with answering, I’ll continue to look forward to your posts! thank you!

Osamu was only really tickled when he was really young, and since he was never a ticklish person, he never really *got* tickling. To him it was always something you do in order to entertain children... that is untill he became a part of Tamakoma. Tickle fights don't happen often there, but when they do it's chaos. Despite the fact that he is mostly used as a shield since he is one of the least ticklish people there, and that he isn't good at tickling others, he likes seeing his friends laugh and have fun, so he has grown to like them... unless they go way too out of control.

Rinji used to tickle Chika a lot, easily restraining her little body while she didn't have the opportunity to fight back, so when the Tamakoma tickle fights start, she tries to mainly run and hide. She is usually the main target for the tickles since she is small, cute and rather ticklish, yet despite it she really loves them, they remind her of her brother and make her feel less lonely.

While Yuma was aware of tickles, he wasn't used to them. His father, Replica and him were always traveling and no matter where they went there was war, so there weren't many opportunities for them to do many "normal" bonding activities. So when Konami first tried to tickle him he was really confused and afterwards immediately asked Osamu about it, which Chika ended up explaining to him insted. It was still weird for him at first but he quickly got used to it and even became one of the main culprits in starting tickle fights.

Hyuse hates being tickled, since he is very ticklish (which he will deny to his grave), so outside his master, and now Yotaro too, no one is allowed to tickle him, anyone who tries is immidiatly taken care of. A lesson Jin learned in a very painful way.

Usami loves tickling others, she often does with her own little sister and doesn't hesitate to do it with any of the younger members... aside Hyuse.

Jin is main culprit n.2 when it comes to starting tickle fights. Jin also cheats using his side effect so that he knows when it's best to and how to tickle the other and so that he can avoid the other's attempts at tickling him back. Cause of this, they try to avoid a tickle fight with Jin, since it will just be a losing battle. Only Konami and Yotaro are dumb enough to try.

Yotaro is the other main target of the tickles, mainly used against him as a form of punishment when he is being extra bratty. He tried his best to tickle others too, but he is really bad at it, to the point that he doesn't even have any effect on Hyuse.

Konami is the last main culprit in starting tickle fight, if she is frustrated enough (and she doesn't feel like dealing physical harm insted) she will try to tickle whoever caused her frustration, which usually never works out for her. But she keeps trying her best anyway. Problem is that, aside Hyuse, she is the most ticklish there, so it doesn't usuallu end well for her.

Torimaru is the KING when it comes to tickle fights. The guy has 4 younger siblings, he has mastered the craft by now. He doesn't usually start them, but if he does get involved he always wins while keeping his composed, blank face on the entire time. Unless his opponent is someone who is immune to tickles (Osamu and Reiji) or are complete cheaters (Jin), he will win no matter what.

Reiji is the most immune out of them all (Osamu coming in 2nd), so he usually just watches from the side in (poorly) hidden amusement. Unless the tickling starts to get out of hand and Osamu is unable to stop it, then he easily puts a stop to it before they can hurt themselves or break something in the base.
