Who is the most needy while in heat?

I decided to write for a few characters for different categories: Clingiest, Horniest, Territorial and Requires Support. Enjoy~

Who is the clingiest:

1.     Itachi – Itachi has only ever had soft heats in his life(heats that are not sexually, but instead emotionally charged). He didn’t have his first heat until he was already part of the Akatsuki and didn’t feel safe enough for a proper heat. His health also isn’t the best, so his body knows to have soft heats rather than normal heats. Because he only has these types of heats, they are very strong. He feels a constant urge to be by your side, ideally with you touching him at all times. He can’t take suppressants because they mess with his illness, so he can’t minimise the effects. He spends the two days holed up in his room, the door locked and sealed shut. He won’t let you leave his nest much, growling and whining if you try. His instincts are screaming at him that he has to protect you and that you have to protect him. He can get a little addled and confused because the impulses are too strong. He’s extremely clingy in heat and he hates it. He always feels embarrassed afterwards.

2.     Izuku – Izuku is prone to crying and feeling very rejected if you neglect him during his preheat or heat. He feels the sting of rejection very strongly and feeling abandoned during a heat is… not good for omegas to put it lightly. It can make them sick if it’s serious enough. So, Izuku will definitely try and keep you in his nest as much as possible, asking wordlessly to be carried with you if you need to leave for a moment. Going to work or leaving the house during his heats (even when he’s on suppressants) is a no-no for him. He will do anything to get you to stay with him, including but not limited to hiding your keys, seducing you, and begging.

3.     Mammon – From the second he’s in preheat, he literally will not leave you alone. He’s very attention starved, but his slight tsundere tendencies keep him from acting on his need for affection. His heat and preheat remove the tsundere tendencies and make him even more desperate for attention. He’s hanging off of his Alpha constantly, following them around and sleeping in their room. He enjoys laying on top of them while they stroke his hair or rub his back. Will growl away anyone who tries to take you from him. If the growling doesn’t work, he’ll whine at you to stay with him because he knows you can’t refuse him when he’s like that.

4.     Kaoru – He doesn’t like how clingy he is, but it’s very uncomfortable for an omega to ignore their heat urges, so he doesn’t bother trying to resist it. He’s very prone to loneliness when he’s in heat or preheat, so he likes it if you’re with him as much as possible. He will spend most the time sitting on your lap, innocently and not so innocently.

5.     L – He isn’t particularly fussed about constant physical affection, but he wants you to be in the same room as him at all times. He constantly turns away from his work to make sure you’re still sitting in the room with him, and in the evenings, he likes if he can sit on your lap while he works. His heats are reduced from suppressants, and his libido is very low generally, but he still likes to make sure his alpha is safe and with him during his heat and be surrounded by his alpha’s scent.

Who is the most territorial during heat:

1.     Sasuke – Will straight up growl at anyone who gets too close to you both, and it won’t end well if someone shows up at his house when he’s in heat. Sasuke immediately views whoever it is as a threat and would likely try and attack them, especially if they were a stranger or someone he didn’t like. He is a lot less stressed during this time if you both just hole up at home for his preheat and heat. One of the reasons he makes his nest in a walk in wardrobe is because it’s an easily defendable place.

2.     Shikamaru – He has to have an arm around you or vice versa at all times. He makes sure you always smell like him during his preheats, just as a warning to other omegas. In heat, he gets very intense and caught up in the feelings, so interruptions from outsiders will be jarring and he’s likely to react aggressively.

3.     Shinsou – Is very paranoid when in heat and preheat. He gets nervous about people coming to try and hurt him and his mate while he’s weak, so he doesn’t like anyone he doesn’t know around you or him. Shinsou is fiercely protective of his family and his alpha. When he’s actually in heat, he would probably try to attack anyone who got too close.

4.     Belphie – Likes to just lay down and sleep with you when he’s in preheat, and whenever any of his brothers (or anyone else) try and get you to move, he growls them away, wrapping his arms around your chest to stop you from going anywhere. Would definitely bite someone if they were brave enough to try and remove him from you by force. When he’s in heat, he uses compulsion charms to keep people away from the attic where he likes to spend his heat with you.

5.     Diavolo – He can’t keep his hands or lips off of his alpha during preheat, but not just in a horny way, mainly in a ‘they’re mine’ kind of way. He likes to show off his relationship to others as a warning to stay away. He is delightfully smug if you return the treatment.

6.     Kusuo – He pretends he isn’t being territorial when he’s in preheat, but whenever you end up in conversation with someone, Kusuo is just suddenly standing next to you, I wonder how that happened? He also makes a way greater effort to ditch anyone who might interrupt his alone time with you. He turns his friends away if they show up at his door when he’s in preheat. When in heat, he gets off on the ‘you’re mine and I’m yours’ aspect.

7.     Light – This boy in greedy for your attention when he’s in preheat, and very bitter if he doesn’t get enough of it. He directs most of his anger at anyone who he perceives as taking you away from him. He will lie and manipulate others away from you both during this time with zero hesitation or regret. Would be possessive if you gave too much attention to a book while he’s in heat.

Who needs the most support:

1.     Alois – I headcanon that Alois has some specific heat related trauma, that I’m not going to get into right now, that impacts him greatly. His alpha is his protection. He only feels safe during his heat if you’re there with him. If you leave him alone, even just for a minute, he will panic, fear mixing with his already heat addled brain. For that reason, he needs a great deal of support, he needs a gentle touch and a constant presence.

2.     Shouto – His father paid to have him on illegal grade suppressant without him knowing just after Shouto’s quirk came in. Endeavour got the quirk he wanted, but not the dynamic he wanted, so he tried to change that. He experiences similar heats to Neji when he first comes off of suppressants. He’s so sensitive everywhere that it hurts. He wants to be touched so badly, but it hurts him. His alpha needs to work with him slowly to help him overcome the sensitivity.

3.     Neji – I mentioned before that due to the suppressant abuse that was inflicted on Neji as a child, his heats can be very painful, especially at first, much like Shouto. For a more in-depth analysis, I have headcanons on Neji’s suppressant abuse listed on my pinned masterlist.

4.     Keigo (Hawks) – He suffers from really bad paranoia during his heats. At first, it’s unclear what’s triggering the paranoia, but eventually it becomes clear that his treatment in the hands of the Commission have left him some nasty mental scars. When Keigo is in heat, he needs to have the door locked and bolted, the windows lock and covered with thick curtains and blinds, he needs to be rid of all technology or anything a person could use to contact him, and he needs all supplies to be in his nest with him so that neither you nor him have to leave that one room. It’s why the room he nests in must have an ensuite. He tends to have soft heats (emotionally charge rather than sexually charged) because his paranoia makes his body think he’s in too much danger to have a proper heat. It’s lucky that his heats normally only last for a day.

Who is the horniest:

1.     Sebastian – He barely manages to keep it together during the day when he has to serve Ciel, but at night? You better be fucking him so well that he can’t stay coherent. He needs a full eight hours of sex before the heat withdraws enough for him to focus. A demon’s heat is very intensive after all.

2.     Kakashi – Every little thing sets him off when he’s in heat. Maybe you knotted him and the heat is subsiding a little, but then you bit your lip or stretch in a certain way, and immediately he’s consumed by his heat again. He struggles to keep it in his trousers long enough to hydrate and sleep. Sometimes he needs to cockwarm his alpha just to be able to calm his instincts enough to sleep.

3.     Tamaki A – He gets so horny at the peaks of his heat that any and all nervousness completely vanishes. He will beg his alpha shamelessly to get what he needs. He cannot control his voice at all, so you better hope your neighbours are forgiving, because Amajiki shouts some filthy things when he feels really good.

4.     Asmo – No one is surprised that he is completely and overwhelmingly horny for his entire heat. Most omegas have down moments for resting and hydrating while their heat isn’t so bad. Not Asmo. His heat lasts for three days (a maximum amount) and is intense for all of it. You have to make him to eat and drink something while he begs and writhes on your lap for you to fuck him.

5.     Kiba – Has a very high sex drive in general, even when he’s not in heat, so it’s no surprise that he’s basically insatiable when he’s in heat. He jumps his alpha five times a day when he’s in preheat, and every hour when he’s in heat. If you can’t provide for him as often as he needs, he will absolutely buy a knotted dildo and use it while he’s on top of you. Most of the time that convinces his alpha to help him get off.

Ooh would you ever do some naruto boys dom drop headcanons? I would love to see how our uchiha boys react

(Hmm, if their alpha suffered from dom drop? Let’s see~ I’ve put it under a cut because it’s suggestive in nature, but it’s not explicit.)

Naruto – You would think it would take him a little time to notice, but the whole vibe after sex is wrong, and he can’t quite put his finger on why… Then he realises how sad his alpha seems to be, how they aren’t cuddling him the way they normally do. He doesn’t really know what dom drop is, but he does know that his alpha is sad, so he tries to treat them the way they always treat him. He covers their face in kisses and definitely goes to make them some instant ramen, because everything is worse when you’re hungry! Naruto is a force of nature when it comes to making someone feel better, so he can handle this situation pretty well.

Sasuke – Sasuke is a bit thrown off and not sure what to do. He picks up on the physical tells first; shying away from affection, lingering stares at any bruises or scratches he has etc. Sasuke is not good at comforting people, not at all, but he knows he has to try something. He panics and just decides to lay on top of his alpha so they can’t cringe away and curl up there like a vaguely grumpy cat. He’s letting them know how much he loves and trusts them in his own way.

Shino – He’s read about this. He researched everything he could about sex before he started participating himself. He knows that doms often feel guilty for the way they treat their subs during sex and so he tries to rectify that in the bluntest and most hilariously Shino way possible. “You should not feel guilty. Why? Because… Because I liked what you did and consented to it.” He keeps his words steady but the slight blush on his cheekbones gives him away slightly. He then lays his head on your chest and hopes that he did enough to help clear your mind of negative thoughts.

Shikamaru – He also knows what’s going on and picks up on it in about a second. He does as much aftercare as he is able to, cleaning everything up, fetching food, getting himself and his alpha dressed again and the cuddling in bed together. If he’s also exhausted, the cleaning may have to wait until tomorrow and he would try his best to give aftercare in the form of cuddles and verbal reassurance. Shikamaru does seem to know that right things to say in this situation and he’s very helpful.

Neji – He really has no idea what’s going on, and honestly, he just assumes that something is wrong in his alpha’s daily life, not that his alpha is suffering from guilt or a drop in endorphins. He straight up asks them what’s wrong and if anything happened, and when his alpha just shrugs, Neji gets pretty concerned. He resolves to find out what’s wrong the next day, and in that moment, he pulls the blanket over his alpha and just tell them not to worry because they’ll figure it out together. Neji has always favoured practical solutions over emotional comfort.

Kakashi – Kakashi does pick up on it and he does know what it is. When he first experienced sub drop, his alpha made him feel less embarrassed by talking about how they one day might get dom drop. This worried Kakashi, who then proceeded to do lots of research, just in case. He never wants to be in a position where he isn’t able to help his loved ones. He finds it hard, but he tells them directly how much he loves them, gets them some water, offers to cook them something simple if they’re hungry, or run a bath for them. If nothing works, he steels himself and talks about how much what his alpha does for him sexually helps him and that they shouldn’t feel guilty. It’s a very difficult thing for him to say out loud, but he isn’t going to let his own issues stop him from treating the people he loves the way they deserve, not anymore.

Iruka – Iruka coaxes out what’s wrong slowly but surely. He’s great at getting people to articulate their feelings, it comes with being a good teacher after all, so he figures out the crux of the problem very quickly, understanding that they’re struggling with dom drop. He solves the problem with a good discussion. He sits down his alpha, talks them through how they feel and reassures them, promises that everything will feel better soon etc. Then he bundles them up in his nest with lots of snacks and a film, no matter what time of day it is.

Itachi – Itachi is used to spells of depression and so he assumes that’s what the problem is. He knows that spells of sadness are common and so he just waits it out, making sure that he is there for them. He quietly looks after them, fetching tea, picking out pyjamas, just small things. If the spell of sadness lasts for more than a day, then he gets more concerned, speaking to them in gentle tones about what’s wrong. Itachi is a great listener, so his alpha need only unload their worries and ask for help, and Itachi will do whatever it is they need with no complaint.

Gaara – Gaara does notice that something is wrong but is unsure as to whether his alpha’s low mood means anything. Sometimes people are sad and it’s not a big deal, and Gaara knows he can sometimes overreact, but what if this time it’s serious?? He ponders for a moment before he asks if everything is okay. When he can see that they are not, he takes them to the kitchen to sit while he cooks their favourite food for them, he talks quietly about what he’s doing to fill the space and then when he serves the food, he reassures them that he loves them very much and that he wants to understand what’s wrong. When they tell him it’s just a drop after sex, he feels a lot better that it’s not serious and stays by their side to stop any bad thoughts as best he can.

who has the easiest or the most difficult time giving birth fr the naruto boys?

I didn’t include the boys who only adopted like Neji, or the childfree people like Kakashi and Kankuro. I did include non-massacre Itachi and Iruka, who could be persuaded to have biological children, even if he wanted to adopt.

Easiest

1.     Naruto – He had the easiest time getting pregnant, being pregnant, and being in labour. For ALL his pregnancies. Other omegas kind of hate him for that. Not to mention he heals immediately after because of the Kyuubi. He only suffers from the post-birth effects for a few hours and then he’s immediately back to running around with no worries. He is very positive through the whole labour, countering pain with impassioned speeches to himself about how worth it his baby was going to be. You wouldn’t think his talk-no-jutsu works on himself, but apparently it does. Basically, he had the easiest birth ever™.

2.     Kiba – My headcanon is that part of the Inuzuka clan’s bloodline means that labour is easier, much like how a dog’s labour is way less intense than a human’s. Inuzuka’s have wider hips generally, but also move flexible hips meaning that contractions aren’t as painful, and they are less likely to have complications during birth. So, for him, contractions aren’t a big deal, it’s just the actual birthing part. I didn’t write for his future family, but I actually headcanon him giving birth to triplets, so that makes it a little more difficult. He still needs a lot of postnatal care, just like a regular omega though.  

3.     Iruka – Here is where we move on to the normal labours. Naruto and Kiba are very much outliers. Iruka’s labour is very average. Nothing dramatic, but it’s not exactly easy. It’s not easy for Iruka’s alpha either, because Iruka is definitely both the ‘you did this to me’ omega and the ‘crushes alpha’s hand during painful contractions’ omega. He shouts a lot during his labour but mellows very quickly once the pup is out. He doesn’t have any complications and he recovers pretty quick, but it’s not exactly fun for any party involved.

4.     Gaara – Him and Iruka are almost interchangeable, as they both experienced very similar labours, aka extremely average labours. Gaara didn’t shout nearly as much though. The reason Gaara is slightly lower down is because he went into labour on the hottest day of the year in the desert. Even for someone used to the heat, that’s a lot. Gaara had decided to give birth in his nest for his first pup, but actually organised a water birth for his second, just because the heat was so unbearable the first time.

5.     Sasuke – Labour is actually the easiest part for Sasuke (before and after are much, much harder for him), but of course, it’s still Sasuke, so can anything truly be easy for him? Not quite. His labour lasts for 12 hours to start with, which isn’t fun, but also his pup ends up getting tangled in her umbilical cord. Ultimately, everything else if mostly fine. His labour is probably still somewhere in the normal range. When Sasuke decides to stick with only one child, the labour is the least important factor in his decision, so he doesn’t end up that bothered by it.

6.     Shikamaru – Oh, poor Shikamaru. When he told his parents that he was pregnant, his mother delighted in sharing horror stories from his birth, in particular stories about how difficult it was giving birth to a baby so big. Shikamaru was a huge and overdue baby after all. Shikamaru brushes them off at first. But then his stomach gets bigger and bigger and bigger. His stomach grows very fast, and everyone is convinced that he must be having twins or triplets, but no, he only has one pup. They’re just huge. After that, Shikamaru starts to get a little nervous, not that he admits to that. His labour is just as bad as his mother made it out to be. He tears a lot which makes it quite difficult for him to stand once he’s released from the hospital. He also goes through a painful, but not dangerous issue with his pelvis post-birth. He’s mostly okay, but his whole downstairs is pretty messed up for a while. His mednin bans penetrative sex for eight months minimum, which makes Shikamaru very grumpy haha.

7.     Shino – The hardest part of labour for Shino is the mental stress rather than the physical one. He gives birth at home with a couple of Aburame medics and his alpha by his side. The fact that the mednin that he hardly knows are with him at his most vulnerable really freaks him out. He almost refuses to let them measure how wide he’s dilated, having to be convinced by his alpha to let the mednin do their jobs. For Shino, laying down, hardly dressed with his legs pushed up and open in the presence of almost strangers is his worst nightmare. The fact that they put their hands all up on and in him makes him feel sick. His kikaichu go wild because of his panic and pain which only serves to stress him out even more. The actual labour part is pretty standard except for the fact that it lasts for 18 hours. There are no complications despite the long time, but Shino cites those hours as the worst of his life, no competition.

8.     Itachi (non-massacre AU) – His is easily the worst given the fact that he almost dies. Itachi also gives birth at home with clan medics, but he has more than just a couple because of his status as high risk. Itachi’s poor health means that he struggles to handle the stress of pregnancy, and the stress of labour is way too much. Itachi loses a lot of blood and haemorrhages very badly. He almost ends up bleeding to death in his alpha’s arms, but thankfully the mednins manage to save him. The actual labour is only about six hours, but Itachi ends up needing intensive care for another day, followed by months of aided recovery. Itachi is too weak to stand up unassisted for a fortnight following him labour. It’s a very difficult time for him, and he claims the spot of most difficult labour by a long shot.

Omega!Naruto - Family Night

Now I’m so curious as to what a typical family night would entail with the boys! When the kids are pretty young and they finally have some time off and their alpha also has some time off to spend together? 👉🏻👈🏻with house husband itachi because that is the only way><

I assume you want the Naruto boys, I’m going to post them one at a time, so I can keep active this week. Up first is Naruto!

Naruto:

As Hokage, it was rare for Naruto to get a full day off without some emergency calling him back to work, but today he had left Shikamaru in charge, (against his will), so that he could come home to spend the evening with you and his children.

And what better way to spend time together than with a board game!

Naruto picked up a simple board game (suitable for younger children) on his way home, knowing that you had sorted out the snacks last night.

“I’m home!” Naruto calls out, shuffling through the front door with the new game and a couple of stacks of paperwork in hand.

“Daddy!” He heard his eldest son shout, followed by the sound of little footsteps sprinting towards the door.

Naruto put the bags on the floor in preparation, crouching down and holding out his arms as his son flew around the corner with a huge grin on his face.

“Oof,” Naruto had the wind knocked out of him as his son barrelled straight into his chest. He stood up, holding his son tightly in his arms.

“You’re getting so big now!” Naruto exclaimed, over dramatically wheezing as his son giggled. “Can’t believe you’re already nine, soon I won’t be able to pick you up anymore!”

His son gasped and tightened his arms around Naruto’s neck.

“No, I always want daddy to pick me up.”

“Hmm,” Naruto hummed thoughtfully. “I suppose daddy’s just going to have to train more so he can keep doing it then, huh?”

His son nodded furiously. “Yes, daddy, I think that’s a good idea.” He then nuzzled his face into Naruto’s shoulder, taking a deep breath of his father’s scent and purring gently. Naruto purred back, pressing a kiss onto his son’s head.

At that moment, you rounded the corner, a one-year-old twin in each arm, smiling tiredly at him.

“Looks like someone is trying to get out of doing their homework again,” you teased your son. “You know we aren’t playing the board game until all homework is done.”

Your son huffed but wiggled his way out of Naruto’s embrace and made his way back to the kitchen table to join his sister to finish his homework.

You and Naruto both laughed gently at his antics, before moving to embrace each other, careful not to crush the twins.

“Missed you,” you murmured.

“Missed you, too,” he responded.

You stayed like that for a few seconds, just enjoying each other’s warmth, before one of the twins reached up and yanked Naruto’s hair.

Naruto swore lightly under his breath, before trying to remove the tiny hand clenched in his hair. Both twins were giggling at his struggle. You suppressed your own laughter.

“I told you these two are going to be trouble,” you laughed.

“Yeah,” Naruto grumbled, rubbing the sore spot on his head, “I can see what you mean.”

“Daddy!” came a voice from the kitchen, “Can you come here, please?”

“Oh,” you remembered. “She wants you to proofread her homework before she gives it in on Monday.”

Naruto nodded. “I can do that. Coming!”

Naruto headed into the kitchen, where his oldest children were working on homework. It looked like his son was working on maths homework from his civilian school, while his daughter was writing about the history of the Shinobi nations for the Academy.

“Can you read this please?” his daughter asked, shoving a piece of paper in his face.

Naruto slipped into the chair beside her and picked up the document to read. He felt his eyebrows raise up the more he read. It always astounded him how good his daughter was at history.

“How is it?” she asked, fidgeting with her fingers a little.

“Honestly?” he started, “Better than most of the mission reports I have to read. Good job!” He praised her, ruffling her hair.

She grinned at him, carefully rolling the paper up and slipping it into her school bag.

“How was your day at school today?”

“Great!” His daughter exclaimed. “Uncle Sasuke’s daughter beat up this boy in the playground for pulling her hair! It was awesome!”

Naruto snorted, not surprised in the slightest.

“Sounds like fun,” he laughed. “Why don’t you go and help set up for game night while I finish up the homework with your brother?”

Once all the homework was complete, everyone settled down on the living room floor, surrounded by plenty of snacks.

The twins had been put to bed, and now you, Naruto and your two oldest children were ready to play the game.

Your son had dragged half of his nest with him, laying blankets and pillows down next to Naruto before climbing onto his father’s lap and refusing to sit anywhere else.

 Seeing as they were sitting together, you decided to play in teams; Naruto and your son vs you and you daughter.

The game was fiercely competitive. Well, your son was a lot more focused on getting cuddles from Naruto, but everyone else was very invested!

In the end, you and you daughter won! Her excellent strategic skills coming in handy!

It was late by the time the game had finished, and everyone, stuffed with junk food, was starting to get sleepy.

You left to check in the twins in the nursery while Naruto tucked your other children into bed.

His daughter always wanted to talk more about her day before bed, so Naruto sat on her bed, gently stroking her hair while she talked about her day.

“-and then I said he was being stupid, and I got sent out into the hall! Which wasn’t fair because he was being an idiot.”

Naruto nodded, still listening with full attention. He always enjoyed the faces of his shinobi when they realised he knew every bit of academy gossip. Those with children in the academy could guarantee that Naruto knew more about what they did there, than they did.

“-and then you came home, so you know the rest.”

“Sounds like an eventful day,” Naruto laughed gently. “I’m very proud of you for working so hard on your homework today. Maybe try not to get kicked out of class again though.”

“Iruka sensei said that you didn’t even come to class most the time.”

Naruto choked on nothing, flushing pink. “Well… Iruka sensei is exaggerating a bit, but school is very important okay?”

“Okay, daddy,” she whispered, eyes already closing.

“Good girl, sweet dreams.”

Naruto left the room quietly, leaving her door open a crack, before heading to his son’s room. His son was already ready for bed, sitting patiently, waiting for him to come and tuck him in.

“Hey, buddy,” Naruto whispered, stepping fully into the room. “Ready for bed?”

“Yep, but,” he hesitated. “I don’t want to go to bed yet.”

Naruto frowned slightly, moving to sit on his bed with him.

“Why not? You not tired yet?”

His son shook his head, playing with one of the many blankets on his bed.

“Then why?” Naruto asked gently, stroking his son’s head.

His son didn’t answer but climbed onto Naruto’s lap.

“Will you be here when I wake up?” he asked, voice muffled into Naruto’s shoulder.

Naruto sighed sadly. “I have to go to work, my sweet boy, I’m sorry.”

His son started to cry and sniffle into Naruto’s shoulder. Naruto’s heart broke more and more with every sob/

“Shh, shh,” he hushed him, rocking him slightly and purring to try and calm him down. “Please don’t cry…”

“Don’t want you to go!” His son wailed, gripping tightly onto Naruto’s shirt.

“Shh, shh, calm down, I’m right here,” Naruto tried desperately to soothe his son. “You don’t have school tomorrow, right?”

His son nodded.

“How about you come and spend lunch with me, yes? You could go and grab some ramen and bring it to my office and we can have lunch?” Naruto offered, desperately hoping it was enough to calm him down.

His son considered the offer for a moment, before slowly nodding once again.

Naruto let out a sigh of relief.

“There we go,” Naruto settled his son back into bed. “I’ll see you tomorrow at lunch, okay, don’t forget!”

“I’ll never forget, daddy!”

Naruto smiled proudly at him. “I know you wouldn’t.”

Naruto leaned down for one last cuddle, scenting a cuddly toy for his son, before leaving his room with a soft ‘Goodnight’.

You were standing right outside the door, obviously having heard the previous conversation. You gestured for him to follow you back into the living room. Naruto slumped onto the sofa, head in his hands.

“It’s not your fault, Naruto,” you whispered to him, sitting beside him and taking him into your arms.

Naruto laughed bitterly. “It feels like it is. He shouldn’t have to miss his own father that much; I should be here.”

“You are here,” you disagreed, rubbing circles on his back. “You’re doing as much as you can, and as long as you keep joining us for family nights and having lunch together, no one can accuse you of not loving your family enough.”

Naruto let out a breath, sagging like a puppet with cut strings. “Sorry, it’s just hard sometimes. I can’t stand it when he cries for me, it makes me feel awful.”

“I know, baby, I know.”

“I don’t want him to grow up without me, he’s already so big, I feel like I’ve missed so much.”

“You haven’t, baby, I promise. They all look up to you and love you so much.”

“Yeah…” Naruto leaned back fully into your embrace, feeling a little better. “I guess…”

“Come on, I think we should both get some sleep before the twins decide it’s play time again.”

Naruto whined in disagreement. “Let’s cuddle here for a bit longer.”

You laughed at his dramatics, but agreed, pulling him firmly into your arms, and settling onto the sofa. Naruto pulled a blanket from the arm and laid it over you both.

“This is nice,” he purred, pressing a few kisses to your neck.

“Yeah, it is,” you tightened your grip around him slightly. “Relax as best as you can, baby, you deserve it.”

Wouldn’t whoever marries Itachi become leader of the clan?

The leadership position in the Uchiha clan is passed down through blood and then secondary gender, then age, so Itachi is the first in line to take over the clan after his father, and then Sasuke, regardless of who they are married to, if they are both omegas.

If Itachi is an omega and Sasuke is an alpha, the role would go to Sasuke first and Itachi second.

In the case of them both being omegas, I think Itachi probably would choose to give the position to Sasuke in a non-massacre au, as long as Sasuke was interested in taking it (which he would absolutely in a non-massacure au because he's still the sort of person who is attracted to power and has a thirst to prove himself).

It's possible that, if Itachi's spouse was also an Uchiha, that if Sasuke turned down the role, the elders might offer a joint leadership style role in which both Itachi and his spouse lead the clan together in order to convince Itachi to step up. If Itachi's partner is not an Uchiha by blood, this would never happen. The Uchiha are not going to allow themselves to be led by anyone other than other Uchiha.
