MAJOR DOPFER X DRUMMER ! READER ROMANTIC HCS 💌

- If I remember right I mentioned Dopfer is a pretty big fan of music.

- He would frequently ask you to play certain songs and would hype you to death whenever you played ( unless it was in a situation where he could not )

- I feel that you being his lover just means that these are amplified by 10 fold. He definitely shows you off like a grammy.

- He appreciates whenever you play a tune— regardless of what context. Battle, background noise, late at night, etc. Speaking of late at night; he forces you to play him to sleep.

- Will get pissy if you do not or fall asleep before him. Yes he will not speak to you. No he will not make it through the whole day. Yes he is very clingy and will cry if you give him the cold shoulder back.

- If you ever play his favorite song you will be getting kissed to oblivion I don’t make the rules.

- Eventually he begins to say your music is a good luck charm. I always imagined him as a spiritual guy so he definitely believes your music holds some kind of power, he may ask you to play very specific tunes that turn out to be songs meant to summon power or good luck. Something along those lines.

- Protects you like a prized possession ( because to him you are ) whenever your group is fighting the blight. And also just late a night, scared that something might snatch up and get you. You’ll probably find him awake in the middle of the night, staring at you and looking around as if he’s expecting someone.

- Gods forbid you awake one night to find him gone, only to get up and look for him and find him speaking with Count Dracula or some other inhumane creature.

- He gaslights you after this / j

- Definitely kisses your hands before & after you play. ‘ To help your hands play better ‘, he states with a smug smile and a cheeky wink.

- He cleans your drum for you when you go to bed before him. And if you ever needed new drumsticks he commands his soldiers like a drill sergeant to find or make some ASAP!

- When the chance comes he definitely brings you out to play with other musicians.

- He might seem childish when it comes to your artistic talent but he’s just very admired by this skill of yours. He wants to hear it as much as he can, as he realizes there’s a secret timer ticking every second of the day.

- When he constantly pesters you to play, it’s because he wants you to be with him as much as possible. Keeping you playing is just one way. ‘ I need the morale ‘, sir Dopfer lied out of ass as he smiled and mumbled his clear half truth.

- He loves you dearly but he’s bad at showing that without being childish. He’s just bad at showing his true, authentic and uncensored admiration and devotion. But trust me it’s there. Just hidden away by manchild behavior

major dopfer x reader headcanons? fem reader if not gn works too :)

AHHH im so sorry anon i dont know much about Major Dopfer but i will try my HARDEST ! 🫡

Because of this , the headcanons may be a bit shorter ( you also didn’t include much so idk if you wanted romantic or platonic or anything like that 😭 ) but fear not I’ll still try my best to answer

MAJOR DOPFER X GN ! READER PLATONIC & ROMANTIC HCS 💌

PLATONIC ::

ᢉ𐭩 I’m going to go by the assumption that you’re also a soldier if that’s alright 👀👀👀

ᢉ𐭩 He’s an officer so your relationship may be a bit tricky at first , him being a higher position of power and all . But don’t worry he’s very friendly to his fellow soldiers - some may say too much so . He often treats his soldiers as friends and can get too casual with them , forgetting to order them and as a result often getting in trouble with other officers .

ᢉ𐭩 However on the other extreme side he can be very cocky and overly “ king mindset “ . What I mean by that is he can see himself as higher than his soldiers sometimes , treating them like his own personal servants as if he were a king . This usually doesn’t go for too long though as , again , he’s very easy to get comfortable with his men and treating them like friends all over again .

ᢉ𐭩 It depends on your role , if you’re infantry you might get closer quicker ! If you’re a musician he’s definitely going to be around you a lot , he’s a big fan of the drums and fifes . If you’re a surgeon or priest it could take a little longer . For surgeons it’s simply that he doesn’t get hit much , he may come off reckless and childish but when it counts he’s actually surprisingly cautious , reminds you that he’s an officer for a reason . As for the priest section well …. He’s literally friends with Dracula , he’s not exactly the picture example for a saint or a follower / believer in general . He’s not an atheist by any means ! Quite the opposite . He knows non human beings exist , he’s met and befriended many in his life , so he assumes god probably exists too . He just doesn’t want to put his faith in the big man . He’s a bit scared that any priests may sniff the non human on him . He’d rather keep his friends and friendships secret . If you’re a sapper you’re somewhere in the middle . He doesn’t speak much , but he doesn’t leave you hanging . Definitely appreciates you after a particularly hard battle though , patting you on the back and praising you like a saint .

ᢉ𐭩 regardless of your position — when you two began getting close he’s attached to your hip . Or rather , YOU are attached to HIS . He makes sure to tell you to stand close to him , when he tells everyone to line up he points you right in front of him , when he needs someone to accompany him or assist him you already know you’re gettin a finger shoved in your face , sighing as you pick your feet up and follow . Not behind though , right next to him . You’re an equal after all

ROMANTIC ::

ᢉ𐭩 He definitely confesses first - oh and he makes it a BIG spectacle . Probably asks his soldiers to help

ᢉ𐭩 It starts off with a candle lit dinner , with fancy wine and all that . He makes sure to ask all the cringy and awkward questions

— „ So , heh , how’s the … musket “

ᢉ𐭩 After that he probably gets a big bouquet or gift of some sort , confessing as his soldiers in the background throw confetti or rose petals - something like that 😭 hyping him up while lowkey pressuring you . If he notices you looking upset he tells everyone to stop and leave . If you’re going to accept he wants it to be genuine , I mean you’re definitely going to anyways he’s just that cool ( he says as he copes with the idea of you rejecting )

ᢉ𐭩 When you eventually agree he gives you a big hug , the type where they pick up up and spin you around , hugging so tight you think you hear a snap . He definitely kisses you after the hug — you might have to tell him to slow down . He’s literally jumping from happiness

ᢉ𐭩 He becomes noticeably more confident and prideful after the event , everyone knows why because he brags about it every second . Even when it makes no sense to do so

— „ Yeah this food is good but you know what’s better ? My lover … yeah , I got a lover , so cool I know 😎🤓 “

ᢉ𐭩 He probably doesn’t say it like that but that’s basically how it sounds . His dumbass smirk of confidence becomes even more smug .

ᢉ𐭩 The soldiers definitely like you a lot more after this - it’s like when your dad is in a good more and you get everything you want from him because of it . They’ve gotten to skip training , got some extra rations , etc ! They definitely come to you to ask for favors and use you to get him happier / in the mood to do something they want . If they were denied a party they’re definitely running to you with puppy eyes

ᢉ𐭩 He most definitely introduces you to Dracula , holding your hand a bit tighter as he introduces you . He’s scared you might run away in fear or try to dump him . Dracula has to hear about you on the daily for sure . Dopfer probably asks for dating advice at time since Dracula is so old .

ᢉ𐭩 You’ll probably only meet Dracula and if you ask to meet any other of his inhuman friends he’ll shoot you a worried side eye
