Perhaps it was only a matter of time. The system of the university, planned as it might have been, was flawed. There are only so many students they can take, so many they can brainwash before people start noticing. Humans short circuiting in the middle of classes, falling unconscious in hallways. There is only so much that can be blamed on the stress of exams and studying before suspicions rise and an investigation is carried out. And suddenly, all like wild fire, there are claims, accusations, rumors all coming to light at once. Brave advocates, scarred and traumatized and shaking, even when they come forth on national television (the show host can only hold Soonkyu's hand kindly, there would never be enough comfort for her).
And thus, things come crumbling down. Students are dechipped and put into therapy programs, faculty are transferred, and all seems well. The administration disappear: their doctors, their lawyers, the dean, identities erased as if they never existed in the first place. And while the district of Gangnam slowly returned to normal as years go by, they are never quite found.
The buildings of Gangnam Gu University are still standing, though now closed to the public. At least till the city council decides what to do with it (and the terrifying facilities that lie within). Sometimes over confident teenagers will sneak in, roam the hallways at night with torches and stupid grins, laughter echoing the now empty buildings.

Hello everyone. I’m Admin A, ya’ll don’t really see me around much. I’m a more behind the scenes admin but I just wanted to say my farewells. This RP is and was amazing. It’s sad to see such a minor issue, bring such a good RP down. All we were aiming for is to uphold our rules and keep our minors safe.
I’m sorry that my farewell message isn’t all that long but I don’t have many words to say how disappointed I am.
Just know that Gangnam GU was like a family to me and one of the best RP’s I’ve ever been in.

Hello people of the world! Most of you know me as Admin Ahjumma or our news blog’s typist. This is the first rp I’ve ever admined for and it was time consuming and yet fulfilling at the same time. Along with this, this is also the first roleplay where the members are so bonded, although we did have some… disruptions along the way. Anyways, I’m sorry for the past members who’ve spent months with us and also to the new and/or applying people.
I hope you’ll miss this rp and the people in it as much as me

Hello everyone! This is Admin O speaking. Gangnam Gu University has been around since June of 2014, and much longer as Gangnam University since August of 2013, and now we bring this roleplay to an end.
It’s very unfortunate that we have to end with many of our roleplayers dissatisfied with recent events at this roleplay. While somethings were in the hands of the admins, others weren’t, and while we tried our best, there is only so much we can do. It has been a very long few years, and I think that the positive memories out weigh the negative ones. I’ve made a lot of friends here, and I hold you all close to my heart, but with recent events, all of the admins have decided to sign off permanently, and to cut off contact with all previous members of the roleplay. We would like a new start, and we personally don’t think we can do that without this course of action.
Why don’t you just revamp the rp again?
Unfortunately, I think that GGU has earned a reputation. There are some members who did not enjoy their experience here at all, and we worry that new people will be hesitant to join.
It has been a very stressful few days, but the decision has been made final.
As an admin, it breaks my heart to do this, but I think that GGU has run its course as an rp. The blog will be kept up, so that it can still be visited and viewed, but we will no longer be taking applications.
Thank you to everyone who has been with us so long. We wish you the best where ever you go next.

A kink meme has been going around, with members of the group reblogging it. While this roleplay does allow members to reblog their own roleplay memes, we are very disappointed to see that no one has tagged it as nsfw, something that we absolutely require, especially for posts of such nature.
As admins, we are very disappointed to see something like this happen. There are minors in this roleplay, so please take them into consideration, and please remember that in some countries even interacting in a perverse manner with minors can get you in jail. While not 100% if this extends to things a minor might see on their dashboard, we want to foster a safe and friendly environment for all.

We have received numerous Halloween costume submissions, and now an official poll has been released. Please vote for your favorite costume of the party!
As it is November 3rd and we are nearing the end of our Halloween event, we request that you send (via ask box) your costume, and whether or not you came in a group or couple costume, as these will be counted as one entry. All entries will take part in the costume contest, for which a poll will be uploaded, on November 5th.
We have been informed that some people who have taken a hiatus have been posting. We would like to clarify that a hiatus entails no posts till you come off of hiatus. If you post, you will be removed from hiatus . A semi-hiatus means that you must post at least one text post every two weeks. Picture posts do not count as activity.
Those who have broken these rules shall receive warnings, however next time those that break the rules shall be dealt with accordingly.
