I'm working on a tablecloth idea.
I was going to make a toadstool table cover from scratch out of vinyl. Then I discovered that I already had a plain red round tablecloth...
This is two bottles of white paint. I thought I had two full bottles of white fabric paint, but it turns out that one was a partial, and the other dried up. I did have some white acrylic, which will work well enough for the project.
There is a hole on the tablecloth where I picked it with scissors, or maybe a rotary cutter during The Mask Making Frenzy of 2020. I painted over it aggressively. (There, I fixed it.)
I plan to add some more spots, probably, and add elastic to the hem so that the tablecloth bunches up underneath. This will be spectacular for outdoor tables, but also cute indoors.
(now I'm going to look for a folding round table to take to events...)
I might still do my original idea of adding the spots as applique, either by making an embroidery design or by machine sewing the white circles into place. I could actually do a couple of these, with white spots on orange, brown spots on light tan, etc.
