I love gnomes so so much. These ears are a bit odd, I think I should maybe draw a full gnome face so you have an idea. I’ll just throw in a pic of Scanlan I’ve done at some point
So like the ears are these little pointy, folded things that sit in line with their mouth/jaw edge rather that between nose and eyebrow like on humans. Gnomes are close to the feywild, like elves, so I tried to make their ears as far from humans as I could
Rock gnomes are tough little things, they’ve been tanned for generations and have a dark, dusky skin as a result.
Forest gnomes are a lighter tan colour. They’re the closest to elves and have the pointiest, most upturned ears as a result
And deep gnomes live underground, so they haven’t seen sun in a fair old while and are pale as shit as a result! Also I feel like they’re hearing will have changed because they’re underground so they have the most down turned ears to avoid catching too much echo off the top of a cavern roof
