Kiel x charm Aladdin AU mayhaps???
•Kiel was a street rat all his life, needing to steal in order to survive. The only family he knows is his winged cat, Alphonse, is who helps him steal food.
•Charm meanwhile is the daughter of President Mentum. For several years, her family has lived peacefully with a roof over their heads, not needing to worry about anything, and even before her father’s presidency, they were well off.
•She doesn’t hate it— it’s comfortable, there’s routine, and her family is happy— but she wants to see what’s out there. She’s seen every scientific innovation in Quanterium, but she wants more. And that’s what science is all about: learning about the unknown. She wants to know what lies outside of her planet.
•Kiel on the other hand, while enjoying the uncertainties of his life, wants to know what it’s like to just be able to live without worrying what his next meal will be, or even to have a family. A mom, a dad, maybe some siblings. Not that he hates Alphonse, but he wants to know what it’s like to have parents who love him and want to be with him.
•Charm ends up taking one of her parents’ ships to leave the planet for the first time, landing on Magisteria. Disguised, she goes through the village, seeing magic for the first time. Of course, she promptly demands how it’s done.
•She can’t wrap her mind around magic creating something out of nothing (that’s not scientific!) and ends up getting in trouble. Kiel is luckily nearby and is able to help her get out.
•They end up enjoying each other’s company, and even end up developing some crushes, until Science Soldiers arrive and arrest Kiel.
•Charm reveals who she really is to try to use her position to save Kiel, who can’t believe he ended up falling for the President’s daughter (how could she ever love a street rat like him?), but it turns out that the Science Soldiers’ orders did not come from her father, but from Quanterium’s leading scientist, Dr. Verity.
•Dr. Verity works alongside President Mentum with their scientific advancements, even being what is essentially President Mentum’s right hand man. Unbeknownst to the Mentum family however, he’s not content with being second best; he wants to be the one ruling Quanterium.
•After failed assassination attempts (he’s smart enough to make sure the clues never led to him), he sought out the Seven Keys from legend in order to find an artifact that could grant him any three wishes, which he could use to make him the ruler of Quanterium. He managed to get six keys, but the seventh one is unattainable to him, as he is not worthy.
•Good thing he planned for that and planted a clone on Magisteria, who seems to have a better heart than he does thanks to his experiences.
•Once Kiel is in prison (and managed to get out of his chains thanks to his street rat skills and a magic winged cat), he tricks the boy into coming with him to retrieve the seventh key and gain the artifact.
•Alphonse is a cat and knocks down something he really shouldn’t have touched, so the place starts coming apart, and Kiel and Alphonse end up trapped underground.
•Kiel takes a look at the artifact: it’s a lamp. Curious, he tries to wipe the dust off of it to see it better, only to find that he ended up releasing a centuries old genie who has the power to grant three wishes. (Idk who the genie is sorry djdjdjdjdh)
•Believing that he’d have a better chance to woo Charm as someone else instead of as a street rat, Kiel uses his first wish to completely reinvent himself as he tries to win Charm’s heart.
You and charm? Or you and Owen?
charm definitely loves me but probably not like that. unless shes hiding her feelings because she tends to do that ever since her family died (which is sad. i try to cheer her up tho but idk if it does)
owen yeah he probably does. its pretty cute actually how he blushes lol ;) then again he blushes around everything and everyone so idk if he really likes me like that or not. if he did i wouldnt mind tho ;)
—the absolutely awesome kiel gnomenfoot
Okay, this is directed at both the Story Thieves fandom and the Kiel Gnomenfoot fandom. (More to the Kiel Gnomenfoot fandom, though, they really ship the two of us together more than the Story Thieves fandom does. Does anyone in the Story Thieves fandom ship us?)
Maybe there’s appeal to this because of the statement “Opposites attract.” Which, in nature, I guess that’s true. And Kiel and I are most certainly opposites. However, in a romantic relationship, opposites attract isn’t always healthy.
The biggest struggle would definitely be communication, and we’re total opposites in our ways of communicating. Kiel is always so vocal, but he constantly hides any negative feelings he may have. I struggle to deal with and express my emotions in general, leading to my aggression. Not to mention Kiel doesn’t take most of what I say seriously.
Another thing: most of the fandom speculated that I had a crush on Kiel throughout the series. This is not true. I developed a crush on him when Owen was pretending to be Kiel. His version of Kiel was who I began to love; he was less arrogant, and actually showed more emotion other than reckless stupidity. (Is that an emotion? No. Do I care? Also no. Though Owen as Kiel was still pretty stupid...)
In short, and I mean this mostly to the Kiel Gnomenfoot fandom: stop shipping us. It makes Kiel and I very uncomfortable.
