Last night we said farewell to legendary locals Guns N' Rosa Parks. The sound sucked (thanks to feedback and broken mic cords), but the crowd was ready to let it end with a bang -- high-energy mosh-skipping and sing-alongs to make up for the less-than-savory audio.

In addition to putting on killer shows, these guys are some of the best friends a person could have. I'm really sad to see them go. We all met in the summer of 2005 at one of their house shows... which was also the night I met my husband (who was in the band at the time). I've been to many of their shows filled with fireworks in enclosed areas, enduring freezing temperatures and more than one instance of complete drunken debauchery. Ah youth. We're all adults now, I guess, so moving on is fitting. 

The good news is, Anthony is working on the layout for their last recording, so look for that in the future.
