if kavinsky didn't die i would love the idea of him going home and maybe he has an older brother who has taken over his dad's business and they try working together but eventually the brother tries to have kavinsky murdered so he won't have to share the power with anyone, and kavinsky flees the city wounded, tracks down ronan and stays until he's back on his feet (ronan's just like wtf?? leave. no wait let me tend to your wounds first. no homo though) and then kavinsky goes back, starts with petty crime and builds a gang from the ground up, until finally he's a big enough name to challenge his brother, so he calls in a reluctant ronan to help him out and they take him down and that's how ronan ends up with like. a mafia leader half boyfriend half enemy he makes out with sometimes. he even helps out kavinsky every once in a while when there's a job that kavinsky doesn't trust anyone else to do. gansey disapproves but still every now and then he helps them not get arrested by using his charm and influence. afterwards he feels super guilty and makes them all donate thousands of dollars to charities that help at-risk youth.
