[ 46 - Let go of a floating lantern ]
They waited until it got dark, Key allowed her to ride on the back of his motorbike and they drove until the city was behind them and there was enough sky not already polluted by light for them to truely enjoy what they were about to do.
He parked up and left his bike beside a bench, carrying the lantern into the middle of the field. He watched as Ailee held it up, and he took his lighter out of his pocket, flicking it a couple of times before the bottom of the lantern lit up. He stared at her for a moment over the dim light and orange glow that was cast on her face, highlighting her facial features and he gave her a tiny smile.
"Ready?" He questioned, not expecting her to reply. He took hold of the other side of the lantern, slipping his lighter back into his pocket for later and together they gently used their fingertips to nudge the lantern up into the sky, watching it rise and flicker as it took off into the sky, floating out over the city until it was nothing more than a tiny orange speck on the sky, one of many lights that lit up Seoul.
