Yes, the 90s where a great time for comics in South America, we had fantastic weekly magazines like El Tony and D'artagnan, our comics were and continue to hav cult status in Europe and Latam as well (watch El Eternauta Netflix adaptation)

More importanly we had many Editorial Houses in Rio, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires

And we had fan events and cons, lots of them particularly in Argentina and Brazil

Many mangakas, and big names in America and Europe were invited and attended.

If you think for a second a that famous comic artist William Byers is not gonna get invited to a huge fan event in Sao Paulo ur wrong

Every single person who goes near the Triple Frontier wants to go to see the Iguazú Falls as well

To get to the place you need to enter Foz do Iguazú, that place is now a small touristic town.

But back in the 90s/2000s it was just a small town
