i've talked to some of you running and weight-lifting folks about silicone rings as a cheaper and safer alternative to traditional metal rings. here's a comparison among enso's elements black pearl (far left), elements silver (top), and legends yeti (far right). these are all fresh out of the box, with zero wear to them.
notes:
1. none of them quite passes for metal (sterling silver pinky ring included for comparison)
2. the yeti colour is far more blue than it appears on the website
3. only the thin rings come in sizes smaller than a US 7, which is a little frustrating because...
4. the classic width rings have a slight bevelled edge to them, which, while subtle, looks really nice, while...
5. the thin width rings have unfinished edges, so the interior comfort channels are exposed--which, while subtle, looks really bad when you're looking at the ring from the top or bottom
6. my thin width elements ring in rose gold (not pictured) that i've been wearing for the last 6 weeks has been very forgiving of my weight fluctuations, but not quite as forgiving of wear. i've somehow managed to nick two little scratches in its surface. they're not anywhere near as noticeable as they'd be on a metal ring, though.
conclusion: i'm really happy with the brand overall, but there's been some trial and error with colours and styles involved in getting me there. the elements black pearl colourway in the classic width is my favourite so far, but since that one is way too big for my ring finger, i'll stick with my first runner-up, which is the thin width elements rose gold.
