Helaween? Helaween.
And now for something completely different—
So. Forgive me for insisting, but once upon a time, when repulsive cretins were not too busy blowing themselves to smithereens and before I very nearly died by the fault of internal organs our Mother Nature, in her ineffable and immutable desire to see us transcend our flesh beyond the petty ills of an impressive array of seasonal troubles, thought fit to grant me, twice, I had great plans for this blog. Namely, the anniversary of its creation, in November, always a reason to celebrate my renewed victories over the boor and the boring and people who generally think irony is a type of louse.
I think we can all agree that November hasn’t been the bestest of months, however, and that it’s become a lousy time indeed and largely overrated—I have therefore arbitrarily decided I was going to relocate the festivities to December. Surely, nothing at all would overshadow my valiant attempts at being remotely relevant on this wretched website!
Which festivities, you may ask, o vastly imaginary Reader whom I may utilise for my nefarious didactic purposes? Well, I'm glad you did, o conveniently anonymous individual probably clad in a mastic trench-coat and somewhat fatigued fedora, I’m glad you did. Because I did say great plans, didn’t I? As it happens, for me three-year anniversary of having a Tumblog and using it to traumatise as many people as possible by way of opinioning & vocabularistics, I’ve decided to embrace the pomp proper and celebrate my own capability to commit public annoyance! Woot-woot!
Hereby witness the result hereto witnessable, as I launch a series of impromptu and passably capricious thematics, introducing:
Fustian Tuesdays in which pedantics shall happen and I debate with myself over fandom themes;
Wandering Wesdnesdays where the wild things are and I turn myself back into a professor of cunning and literature;
Thundering Thursdays that bring worldbuilding bounties;
French Fridays for your blocking displeasure if the #french post tag is appearing greyed and boxed on your Dash. Also, etymology!
Happy anniversary to me, and an enduring reading to you.
I love you all!
